Re: iPad App - Write button
The problem may be that (according to Roland) there is no sysex or midi command to save the temporary live set to a specific live set location. So maybe you just have to press your write button on the keyboard. This would be similar to the way the Yamaha Motif editing software works, ie they're tell...

Re: RD-700NX librarian for Windows
HowardS found a problem with the librarian with Windows 64 bit which worked together to resolve. "The 64-bit version of Windows it puts your files into a directory called: "C:\Program Files (x86)\RD-700NX Librarian\" and of course, as you know, your program looks for the RDS file in t...

Re: RD700NX Librarian
The RD-700NX librarian is now packaged for distribution and I will be making it available shortly as donation ware. So far tested on 32 bit XP and Vista, 64 bit not checked yet but I will be doing this in the next couple of days (New Year of course intervening here). dotNet 3.5 framework is required...

Re: Structure of the LiveSet RDS-File
The final check sum is not based on a check sum of other check sums. It works like this: Take the LiveSet File area 0x00000 - 0x8925F and sum the individual bytes. If the result is 0x012345AB then the lower 2Byte i.e. 45AB will be the checksum. Easy to see if you look at the sum of the other bytes i...

Re: RD700NX Librarian
I initially devloped this to ease the pain of altering my own live sets rather than to distribute and I am sure you will appreciate that this it a lot of devolpment time to figure out the file structure etc and then program up the software. I am currently working on the MSI installation software etc...

Re: Patch changing made easy
The patch change is achieved through a PIC chip sensing the pedal switches and then sending sysex to RD-700NX. This is the only way I could figure out how to accomplish this. You have to send a bank change message first before the patch increment/decrement or the RD-700NX doesn't respond to the chan...

Patch changing made easy

Information, Verobard layout, component list and hex files are available on the UrbanLegendBand.co.uk site http://www.UrbanLegendBand.co.uk/GeekPage.aspx . This sa...
