Re: About the 1.50 beta update
As an innocent bystander, I must say that I'm super happy about the speed of development of the Fantom. Particularly because... it is in a partly finished state, so they need to keep grinding away on development. ;P But I would definitely have one now if I had the money. The sounds are compelling, a...

Re: A sign of what's to come...
As a non-owner - yet - I'm happy to see Roland supporting this product and working to make it the workstation of my dreams. Just having that ZEN-Core engine as well as that knobby little control panel off to the right were two of my bullet point wishes for a Fantom successor. Well, three, as I wante...

Re: Have I got this right?
As a synthesizer guy, the ZEN Core Fantom has much more sex appeal than the G for me, and right now is the only real rival to the Kronos. Is it perfect? What keyboard is? We always deal with this in every cycle of new tech to hit the market. Are the new toys that much better than what we have now? I...

Re: Requests to Roland (official)
1. Give the sequencer the functionality of the old MPC system used on their old workstations and stand alone sequencers. Specifically, the ability to list the MIDI events in rows and alter them directly while scrolling through the list. I did a track on the old W-30 sampler workstation one time in w...

Re: OS 1.6 update requests
Some of you are beginning to sound as bad as the people at Gearslutz. ;P I think too many people here are thinking of your musical instruments like video games, which when they become stale you can apply mods to them to jazz them up. I know that some features like the sequencer could have been made ...

Re: New Axial sounds
Cello, my man, what's the link to your JD-XA Facebook page? I can't seem to find it in all the net noise. I'm very curious to see what everyone is up to.

Re: Promars, SH-2 and System-100 now available
It won't be the J3XP it will be the J8XP so we get the full 8 voice polyphony bigger brother of the JX series. I think we'll get the JP4 because it's different enough to do, but after that Roland wise what is there analogue to do? ACB is Analogue? Personally I would have liked a JD800 or D50 plugou...

Re: JDXA still sounds beautiful like no other synthesizer.
I have not had the pleasure of playing it yet. I may add a JD-XA in the next year or so. I only wish it had a couple more analog voices for 6 Note polyphony like my Juno-60 and 106 for playing pads. I thought I would paste in here something I posted at that Roland loving GS forum. ;-) Programming w...

Re: Librarian questions
Well now, this is curious. I watched the Librarian videos, and it seems that all it's good for is organizing patches within the XA, and importing Integra patches. Is there no way to save patches other than by USB drive? I'd like to know how to organize libraries and save them to my computer when I d...

Re: White JD-XA coming?
I'm not interested in the white model either, but it would be nice to offer those who want the option. I'm very interested though in whatever Roland is up to with their ACB technology in regard to a new Plugout System style synth. Would love to see a big Jupiter VA synth or System-8 with a five octa...

Re: Xi or Xa
What MortenJ said. JD-Xa all the way. This is what I've been asking for since the new Jupiters emerged. The analog polysynth is a very sweet bonus to an already powerful, great sounding synth engine. Whatever Roland wants, I'll be there... eventually. ;P Though as cheap as the Xi is going for, I don...

Re: Great High res detailed images of JDXA front panel
I was thinking the JD-XA could be $1500-1800 US street price. We will have to see. This was my proposal too over at the gearstink boards. As low as Roland are selling the Xi for, I don't think the JD-Xa will break the $2000 ($1999) price barrier, though I could be wrong. If it's $2500 or so, I'm st...

Re: Supernatural inside!!
I think this is a great move by Roland. It gives us the Jupiter engine under the control of a WELL endowed System-1 like control panel, which I've wanted since the new Jupiters emerged. And to ice the cake nicely, at least a four voice synth which might even sound Jupiterish! What's not to love? ;D

Re: IYO Just how good are the SN Acoustic Instruments?
I have to echo the remarks I left on the YT vids. While the M3 and MOXF are nice, specialplant's version done with the Integra sounded distinctly better to my ears. I was half paying attention since it was the same piece, but all it took was one second for my ears to perk up and notice something tan...

Re: MOXF vs Roland FA06/08
I'd agree with skinmechanic. The Yamaha has some nice sounds, even though Yammy is stuck in romplerville. But a Motif/MoXF would make a great complement to an Integra, giving you all those SN Acoustic sounds, as well as all those SN Synth tones and SRX sample expansions which I dearly love. And the ...
