Re: Jupiter 50 -> 80, is it worth it, and possible?
Despite it being heavier, I would recommend getting the Jupiter 80. As well as the 2nd live set, which makes it more versatile when using splits, you get double the polyphony and IMHO an instrument that is built like a tank.

Re: Can't change I7 programs via MIDI
There should be no need to send any bank changes to change studio sets, only a programme change number. I use an A90 and it works fine, the bank select isn't turned on, it only sends a programme change. It might sound obvious, but have you set the studio set set programme change channel to match tha...

Re: Integra 7 for Live Multi-Users
Hello Rob5,
Is the controller you are usually able to send programme changes? This would dave having to do so directly on the integra and speed things up in a live scenario

Re: Bought an INTEGRA 7: Why should I keep any SRX board?
Hi LA The sympathetic resonance is called string resonance on the integra. It's an editable SN acoustic parameter. Page 18 of the parameter list describes it. n When the keys are pressed on an acoustic piano, the strings for keys that are already pressed also vibrate sympathetically . The function u...

Re: Bought an INTEGRA 7: Why should I keep any SRX board?
I replaced 2. XRs with the integra, still controlled from the A90. I use a combination of sounds PCM and SN synth sounds, more so the SN synth when I want a more analog feel to a patch. I use the acoustic and electric pianos on the integra over the PCM, but feel the PCM organs have more body to them...

I sold all my SRX boards. I got the most for the ultimate keys and complete orchestra.

Re: Bought an INTEGRA 7: Why should I keep any SRX board?
You can only have four boards in the Integra's virtual slots at any one time so you may want to consider loading in those that you don't have and keeping the physical remainder installed in the Fantom. This is assuming that you want you actually want immediate access to as many sounds as possible.

Re: New Korg Kronos!!!!
I agree ref the quality of construction. Were the case in metal I would have bought one instead of my built like a tank Jupiter 80. Or maybe as well as lol.

Re: Studio Sets and Expansions
Hi there. The Vintage board contains 256 patches which are programmed specifically to make use of the 990's voice architecture, but as previously posted, it's something of a performance, pun intended, to have to access each one and load them into RAM. I ended up selecting the 64 most useful for my n...

Re: V-Synth 2.0 falling out of tune
I agree ref the pitch bend comment. Both my A90s do it, to the point where I don't use pitch bend any more. Sometimes, wiggling the lever corrects it, but not often, much to my embarrassment. Like you the pitch discrepancy is about a quarter tone, but very noticeable! I discussed it with an ex Rolan...

Re: V-Synth XT vs. GT
Thanks for the reply Quinnx, that's a great help. As far as I can see, the JP80 doesn't benefit from the same function as the Fantom G.

Re: V-Synth XT vs. GT
Hi all I recently acquired a mint GT and like the fact that I can split the keyboard live and use the vocoder on the left with a pad or lead on the right etc I am however looking for an XT to control and layer with my JP80 as I think the V concept and sound is something else. Is it possible to have ...

Re: Jupiter 80 Newbie
I chose a JP80 over a Krnos because of the better build quality and the sound. Had the Kronos been of comparable build quality, the decision would have been harder.

Re: Jupiter 80 and Logic
Hello there. I have a JP80 and Logic. I haven't tried recording it's midi output yet, but may I suggest that when you do so, you check what channels the different parts are transmitting on. Logic should recognise the different channels and you can change the assigned channel within logic in the insp...
