Using External FX for single patch/scene

Is there a way to have a single tone or scene use a separate output? There is a scene / tone that I made and it uses external FX so I need it routed separately from everything else. For now I've got it to work by plugging my EFX unit to the Jupiter's "R" output and panning the patch all th...

Re: Juno GI Repair Advice

It's hard to tell. If the unit doesnt do anything then it would make sense that the main board is bad, but who knows if theres anything additional that needs to be replaced too? Anyway, checkout https://www.syntaur.com/ they might have the parts you're looking for. They're located in Texas, USA. Gre...

Re: midi controller to have better access to synth engine.

I guess there is no way to save my own synth patches. Is that right? The synth engine is really great and there is so much potential, and its really great I have now access to all the synth parameter but at the end its not really useful if I can`t save my own patches except I save them with my song...

Re: V-Synth sampling acoustic instrument

Ok here's an update. It works. I sampled a few harpsichord sounds from the SRX Orchestral VST plugged directly into the Vsynth. Encoded them using the "backing" option and created a patch using the samples assigning different keyboard zones to them. I'm not sure if it was my recording setu...

V-Synth sampling acoustic instrument

Hi all, Just got myself a V-Synth. Seems great so far but theres one thing its lacking, acoustic instruments. I realize this is obviously not the point of this keyboard but If I could get a few decent patches for it I'd be able to use it solely by itself. I'm new to sampling and what I'd like to kno...

Re: XV5080 on the Jupiter X

Bear in mind it's not a 100% XV-5080, just an approximation, like the other "models". Everything runs on the underlying so-called "ZEN-Core" engine, which is just a glorified software 4 tone JV/XV/Fantom engine with PCM/VA OSC, modeled filters, more modulations and classic MFX (...

Re: XV5080 on the Jupiter X

Wow there's a lot of complaints from very passionate people on the lengthy gearspace thread. It also made me realize something I hadn't stopped to think about before: there's a big difference between electronic music synth users and keyboard players. It took me quite a bit of reading on that thread ...

Re: Jupiter-X: Inside Photos

Does this break your warranty ?

Also, it looks like the two side ends are easily removed by just removing a few screws? I'd be interested in removing them in order to paint them black.

Re: XV5080 on the Jupiter X

thanks for the reply. Yes, after further reading, it seems the XV5080 in it is a recreation using their latest marketed engine. I'm, however, good with that, it sounds like it could be a more modern approach and the XV limitations are (in my use case) offset by the synth stuff and hardware controls...

Re: XV5080 on the Jupiter X

well for info, watched a video of someone editing some XV patches and seems to have everything I need. Went ahead and ordered it. I'm used to editing things through a small simple screen like the JV1080's, but this one is even tinier. But at least there's the PC editor.

XV5080 on the Jupiter X

So I'm a rompler guy and mostly use acoustic/orchestral instruments when playing a keyboard (plus some mono synth leads) and after moving, I had to leave behind my Juno Gi and JV1080. Now I'm looking to buy a new keyboard and I remember back when Roland announced the Jupiter 80 that it looked badass...

Re: Juno G or Gi

You're welcome!

It's a shame really. I think i'd like to own a Juno G even today, but with the screen issues, thats definitely out of the question. I never really put much attention on the Juno Stage because I really prefer 61 key synths. Too bad no Jupiter comes in that size either.
