did you find a fix for the ribbon/Mod issue?
Im having similar prblms now,,, hesitate taking the thing apart,,,, It needs a new ribbon sensor

ax synth ribbon sensor
Second time in 12 months the ribbon sensor failed,,,,, i can get a new ribbon for bout 35.00 usd.... anybody ever installed one?
