Could be the effects used in the live mode preset are different than the patch in single mode.

The G8 controls several other synths via midi, so I can incorporate the B model D, Radius and TR 8. Also able to layer with XP 30 getting interesting colors. Strolled over here, due to no activity on the Fantom G sub and really need some help, In my Roland stash is an XP30, V synth v2 and a G8, also a Korg MS2000B but really intrigued with the JD-XA, Do I start selling?
If the JD-XA had HDMI that would cure small screen with additional audio.

Sometimes you have to disconnect everything, (usb, memory stick, midi, power etc) and reboot.

This is the best all around synth (workstation) to date. I'm looking for a second one just in case. Roland I think has moved on to the kids buying recycled/remade trendy synth gear for now.

The G8 is a complex synth, do you get the same results in single, live play and studio mode with acoustic pianos only? You may need to do a factory reset and v1.5 reload.
