Re: MIDI Triggers

Also, it's not 1994 so that's a really ridiculous way to do that.. There are VSTs and macros that you can use to map out a sound to the relative pitch on each key.. instead of spending 90000 hours making 88 different files to map.

Re: Internal Sounds / Midi -> How do I switch?

I just got the Ax-09 Lucina, which seems like just a smaller version of the new full-sized AX synth. I don't think there is a way to switch between on-board sounds and midi, at least not without some other form of controller. you could use a midi switch pedal to map to different channels (sounds, vs...

Help: AX-09 change Midi channel output quickly

hey all, I just acquired the Roland Ax-09 (lucina), and I can't figure out how to assign midi-channel changes to any of the on-board buttons. Following the manual instructions, I can change the midi channel output by: holding shift, push 'v-link' until 'CHN' shows, then use the variation +/- to choo...

Re: Customized Ax Synth

Sonata Arctica is 'too hardcore'?! that dude is amazing! I have a few customized keytars. I found it's best to use a light-grit sand paper on the plastic, then a clear-primer (they make them from plastic specifically) which allows the paint to stick better.I am partial to flat-colors vs glossy..but ...

Re: Next or previous patch selection

My Ax-7 has patch up/down buttons on the neck, which I just set to solo respective midi channels, I'm not entirely sure how the new AXsynth works, but I know it's much less MIDI-oriented than the previous models of the series. I suppose it would just depend on how you have your DAW or system set up ...

Re: ax synth ribbon sensor

I have the Ax-7, and I've replaced the ribbon twice, each time because it would fail to return to the correct pitch. It got a little better the last time, but still not completely fixed.. The repair shop eventually told me it was a problem with the motherboard itself, and that it would be around $50...

Re: AX synth MIDI

yup, This is how I have my live-setup configured. I use a Roland Ax-7 keytar with a Midijet Pro wirless MIDI transmitter. This goes into my Tascam 1800 MIDI interface into my laptop. I run REAPER as my live DAW, and have each track set up on a different MIDI channel. I use various VST's for my sound...

Re: Wireless MIDI - experiences?

I have used the MidiJetPro for about a year now, and I have never had any problems with it. The range is amazing (we tested at practice, and I walked about 2 blocks away from the house and it was still receiving in real time). It worked right out of the box, and the battery life has been about 20 ho...

Re: New Ax Synth, problem with pitch bend/modulation control

I have the Ax-7 and have had this same problem for a while now. I took it to get repaired, $300 later.. he replaced the ribbon, and the problem still didn't go away.. He then said it's probably something to do with the roland mother board in the keytar, and that it would be about $500 to replace it....
