Re: Jupiter-80 Librarian on the Mac App Store

Amazing work here. Unbelievable that Roland did not provide this before. Does this work with JP 50?
Thanks!!

Re: NEVER AGAIN A JUPITER

I assumed... You've used that word twice to complain about Jupiters. IMO Roland delivered on everything they said it was plus more. It certainly had it's limitations but I found many ways to work around it. Instead of getting worked up over the actual methods employed by VA and SN-A instruments I j...

Re: NEVER AGAIN A JUPITER

And I don’t agree with that “buy the keyboard for what it is now...” etc. How could I think that the keybooard didn’t have a librarian or another way to organize the (thousands) of sounds that they promoted you could make? Of course I would assume that this comes with the board since the main attra...

Re: NEVER AGAIN A JUPITER

... To me, the iPad app was not only one of my drivers for buying the Jp 50 but also one of the reasons Roland was encouraging people to buy the JP50 instead of the 80 if you did not have all that cash. Discontinuing the app was ... Sorry for "interrupting" the quote ) How much later afte...

Re: NEVER AGAIN A JUPITER

These discussions are exactly the same as 9 years ago, on the old Jupiters. To me, the iPad app was not only one of my drivers for buying the Jp 50 but also one of the reasons Roland was encouraging people to buy the JP50 instead of the 80 if you did not have all that cash. Discontinuing the app was...

NEVER AGAIN A JUPITER

I was caught by Roland with the Jupiter 50. Just trusted the brand as with my previous 5 synths. My mistake. I am happy that they released these new JP because they give me the opportunity to tell others my experience 8 years ago. Same marketing tricks than now. Just don’t trust them. Those who boug...

Re: Jp80 and ipad.

I am in my forties. I had Different Rolands: JX8P, D50, JV80, XP50, XP60. Then I committed the mistake to by a JP50. It was a mistake because I bought a high potential keyboard but with zero hands on controls. It was a mistake because of the lack of librarian. It was a mistake because it was not aup...

Panic button?

I am using this synth together with an Octatrack and it becomes impressively tweakable and acquires a completely different dimension (i can't believe Roland has not created a PG 200 style controller to complement this synth, as sales would had automatically boosted!). However, sometimes I get stucke...

Re: JP Synth Editor questions

To your second question: the answer is yes; that tutorial is for the 80, which has a lower part identical to the upper part: each of them with four tones. This is not the case in the 50, whose lower part has only one non changeable tone.

Re: Soloing tones in a live set question

Hello... There is no button for the 4th tone, differently to the other 3. You need to turn it off/on with the jig wheel or the inc/dec buttons.
Cheers.

Re: svd files on USB not showing up

You need to copy the "Roland" folder as a whole to the USB, not the individual files. Then you enter in the import menu and you import the individual ones you want.

Re: Synth Legends new releases? Fraud?

Macksa, I agree with your comments. It is a nice paralelism that one with Nintendo. However, reading Synthron's comment, I believe that I brought many issues up and it was not my intention (maybe this was because I never write here!). Because, though I agree with you, there are others that think tha...

Re: Synth Legends new releases? Fraud?

Thanks for the reply. I will try to make my point more clear. I do agree with the potential and with how amazing the synth is. I do use it every day fanatically. I love it. Despite the side notes on the librarian, editor, PG like interface, etc. (which I recognize in my post would be nice to have to...
