Re: Can the Integra 7 import FA series sounds/presets?
No you can't import FA sounds into the Integra, although it seems you can import Integra programs into the FA. Ask Roland why...

Re: Integra 7 and Cakewalk?
I don't understand. Is the Integra-7 a VSTI or a hardware synth? How comes it doesn't work as a VSTI, if it's not a VSTI?

Re: how to make SNA reverb level match PCM reverb level?
But ok, let's believe for a minute.
I'd be very surprised if Roland came up with an Integra-7 update after all this time.
Let's wait and see. We love you Roland, come on!

Re: how to make SNA reverb level match PCM reverb level?
The one simple way to solve this bug is simply to match the PCM tones reverb levels to the SN tones reverb level. That's it, that's all. You're just trying to do it the other way round, and it's not possible. You have a reverb send in the main mixer for each chanel, and you can as well raise the rev...

Re: Using the Integra7 as a drum brain
Oh I see that's great news indeed, congratulations to you!, and for giving a preview on that news to come (I swear I won't spread it!) Regarding the Mimic Pro, here's my opinion on it : great hardware innovation, excellent development support, in all a product that is well thought and well made, but...

Re: Should I sell my integra?
No you should keep it, and buy a Korg Wavestate, an ASM Hydrasynth, a Sequential Pro3, and obviously a Roland Jupiter-X (and a Jupiter-XM as well for the vacations). I mean how can you make music with the only things you already have? Are people so desperate these days they can't even get the stuff ...

Re: Using the Integra7 as a drum brain
Machine gunning is not in the triggering, it's the fact the attack of the sounds themselves are the same at each stroke. On Supernatural sounds there is a slight variation in the attack of each iteration, so that it rolls naturally. On drum software, it's done with alternate samples (for instance, i...

Re: Using the Integra7 as a drum brain
Ok, but that won't solve your hihat problem. Besides, like all Roland modules, there is a really good chance the sounds inside are only 16bits 32kHz, resampled at 24bits 96kHz. I would choose the TD-20, or even the TD-12, over the I-7 for drums, because sounds are so much more articulated. Yes drums...

Re: Using the Integra7 as a drum brain
You would think that if mod had a check mark on that channel under the 'part veiw' button that it would recieve it ALTHOUGH modulation would also have to be assigned to the parameter to be affected - which is key. Parameters such as filter, amplitude, cutoff, etc. You should go ahead and try to obt...

Re: Using the Integra7 as a drum brain
I'm afraid you don't understand, the problem is not the pedal, it's the I-7, it has no hihat articulation, so the pedal transmits just fine, the I-7 receives jut fine, but it has nothing to respond to that continuous command. Is it any clearer now?

Re: Using the Integra7 as a drum brain
I don't see how it would work, but you might have more imagination than I did back then, you should try to get a modwheel to modulate hihat sounds opening, that would be a good start ;) But maybe I was unclear about this : the hihat pedal works with the I-7, if you press the pedal you get closed hih...

Re: Using the Integra7 as a drum brain
In the Supernatural drum sounds in the Integra-7, there's no way to articulate the hihat opening, the physical samples are not there. But closed and opened hihat sounds are well articulated themselves in their range, no audible sample layering, no sign of a discrepancy in the entire velocity range o...

Re: Using the Integra7 as a drum brain
Now that MIDI 2.0 is officially launched, we will see more of this 1024 or even much more MIDI dynamic levels, but here's the reality check : I bet you to even produce more than 15 distinguishable levels of dynamics on an acoustic hi-hat, or any kind of instrument. Oh you can? 16? 17? 25? Oh I see, ...
