Re: Fantom on linux
I've got Fantom 7 and cannot get USB audio to work. When connecting it to my Xubuntu, the log says this: [1989219.575639] usb 1-9.4: new full-speed USB device number 36 using xhci_hcd [1989219.676994] usb 1-9.4: New USB device found, idVendor=0582, idProduct=0221, bcdDevice= 1.00 [1989219.676997] us...

Re: SD Card Factory Image
This is really weird. Are you saying that you restored the factory SD card image, now you can load the 5 factory songs and none of them have their samples? Are you aware that the sample pads are song dependent?

Re: Can you program user arp patterns/step sequence?
That's not true. You CAN create new arp patterns completely on-board. See the manual, page 34, second column ("Creating an arpeggio style from a song").cello wrote:Yes you can use your own arp creations - but you can't create them on-board the FA.

Re: Roland FA-06/08 - best way to setup for live use
About arpeggio sequencing, is there any rule or method of composing them, or I just play the pattern/style by the keyboard and record to the sequencer, save in midi song, then open the arpeggio and import the song to user arpeggio? You don't have to export it, you can just import the arpeggio patte...

Re: Roland FA-06/08 - best way to setup for live use
So do I need to compose 10 motifs (up, down, random...)? No. Why would you do that? Your custom arpeggio sequence can have any motif (up / down / random etc..). And I can't find out somewhere else in the manual talking about PATTERN KEY TRIGGER (which we see in the Rhythm Pattern Screen), do you kn...

Re: importing song (multitrack WAV)
This is not possible. FA does not support audio tracks at all.
You can "cheat" by having separate tracks as long samples (and play all of them from the Sample Pad track) but you cannot play more than 4 of them at the same time.

Re: Roland FA-06/08 - best way to setup for live use
Yes, this is definitely possible, just look at the "Arpeggiator" section of the manual. However, it's quite cumbersome to switch from one arpeggio to another during play...vnsauchin wrote:So is it possible that we compose arpeggio by sequencer and then convert to user arpeggio?

Re: Modulation Assign
I think you can at least use MFX effects with all Supernatural Tones and their parameters can be controlled using many complex schemes, even using modwheel - I THINK. Didn't try it out myself.mixalis wrote:Too bad it doesnt have a mod matrix.. I hope that they will improve that later on

Re: Modulation Assign
I was playing around with this today, trying to assign a pedal in a tone and found for a supernatural synth sound there's no matrix control at all as far as I can see, I'm hoping I'm missing something but surely we should be able to assign cc04 to different parameters in a tone? You are right. If y...

Re: FA 08 audio interface
In your opinion, would it be FA06 be a better option along with a 88 keys MIDI controller with that "piano" feel? Does FA06 have key transposer? Of course FA06 transposes. Or, your 88 keys MIDI controller definitely transposes. I've got Oxygen88 but it's been sitting packed in the closet ...

Re: FA 08 audio interface
I'll be using Yamaha and/or Steinberg(Cubase 7.5 and UR22) usb audio drivers. If you are using FA as a MIDI controller, what's your feedback regarding the keyboard feel? Ok for pianos and "quick" synths also?. That's very personal preference but while I was brought up playing on real pian...

Yes, that's correct. But it should be no problem loading one second of silence to all the Sample pads...tr1tonus wrote:but only if a sample is loaded? is that correct?
