Re: Audio Input Noise

Hi Guys, Thank you all for your answers and inputs, very welcome. I've tried to disconnect all my cables and then build up everything from scratch and then with every step i checked for noise. This time i started with connecting my GI to the fa and monitor trough headphones....aha...no noise....Then...

Re: Audio Input Noise

It's a fairly high pitch noise, and its loud, and not dependent on input volume of the connected device, in my case a Juno GI. In fact the Juno makes noise also, when i plug in and select the line option. USB is perfect just like in the FA and also is the XLR in. Nothing changed in my house, electri...

Re: Audio Input Noise

Nobody else who has this problem when you plug something into the Line in??
All your lines are quiet and clear of noise?
Any solutions?

Re: Question about USB Audio

Hey Realto619,

I assume you are using a DAW? And if you do so, did you assign the audio Out to Roland FA in your audio track?

Re: Audio Input Noise

Hey Bennyseven, I checked my cables, i tried several rca to mini jack/jack-jack, but no difference. I think indeed it's a current grounding problem but how can i resolve this? As the power supply is not grounded for as far as i know. By the way, i've already tried using the noise gate on input, but ...

Audio Input Noise

Hey everyone,
I tried to sample from the input of the FA, but whatever i plug in there, the input is very noisy. This way it's not quite nice to sample let's say a bass or whatever..
Anyone else who encountered this?

Re: Split problem (no.2)

Hey Benny, Yes this workaround will do the trick. I've tried this option before, but then i didn't have the white marker on my lower part, and it didn't work as planned....But as long as i have the lower part selected as main sound it works, although i still believe in an ideal situation this should...

Re: Usb and audio

Hi there, I don't think its possible to hear sound coming out of your iMac if u only use the USB cable. But i'm no Mac expert, so maybe i'm wrong. I have my Fa connected to PC via usb and have my audio out connected to my soundsystem. The pc then returns the audio from the DAW via usb to the Fa and ...

Re: Split problem (no.2)

Hey BennySeven, Thanks again for the response, but i still think you don't fully understand my problem with the splitting. When you play Reggae like i do, the basics are...a comping bubble(organ)sound on the left hand and a Piano on the right, and for solo's several sounds on the right. For you to u...

Did you connect the outs from the Fa to your mixer?

Re: sampler too basic. Alternative?

Hello wilkinsi,

If you need that kind of extended sampling options, you'd be better of with a synth from the Fantom range imho. The sampling in the FA is very basic.

Re: Split problem (no.2)

Hello Bennyseven, I tried every possible option as far as i know of, but this doesn't work. Because even if i use the kbd switch option on the pads, it will not do the trick, because you have to switch one off and the other on and then you still have to switch the bank numbers in order to select the...

Re: Split problem (no.2)

Hey there Joe, Thanks for your response. Unfortunately this does not solve my problem indeed. I tried this myself, but when i do this i can't use the pads to switch parts. I think i just have to accept that it's not possible as i tried every option i know of. I now create several splits with two par...

Split problem (no.2)

Hey everybody, First i like to say that i really like my Fa 06, i can play for hours and hours on this machine. I bought it to replace my Fantom Xa, which is heavy, for gigs. The workflow on the Fa is very similar to that on the Xa so that was a great advantage for me too...never had to check the ma...
