Re: How use Verselab to make a song?
I have printed the manual and tried it again. I still wonder what a section is and what a clip is. According to the overview figure a section has to do with parts of a song (intro, verse etc). But the manual says, "The seven tracks [...] are collectively known as section. For each section you c...

How use Verselab to make a song?
Hi, do you know any resources or ideas how to make a (instrumental) song with the Verselab MV-1? I bought it right when it came out and now have not made anything except a few 1-bar projects. Tried really reading the manual, looking at one or two review videos, but my problem is, without visual over...

Re: Display quality
I don't understand why they put in an LCD. Does it save battery and many musicians use the MC battery powered? Does it live 2x as long as Oled and I can use it in 2025 with no change at all compared to Oled or TFT? While I absolutely don't want to criticize the MC I found it hard to see where this w...

Re: Display quality
It's true, I was being frustrated from other reasons also. ;-) Let me say I have a neutral opinion of the display that is like it is and I'll wait for new things to come anyways. There's no real necessity to reply here, the viewing angle makes it, and I'm only not in the mood to open packages and ma...

I'm honest. How bad is it? I've seen the MC 707 on Thomann, and on their product page there is an image of the MC and you can't read a single thing from the display. Now with the right viewing angle it might be no problem. I own a JUNO DS and it has the same display. Actually I'm a bit disappointed....

Re: will the fantom be a god purchase for someone who is bli
I don't really know whether some sounds are the same in the bigger keyboards of the same brand, but yes, I guessed it's always like this to some extend. Oh, and sorry to everyone in the forum when I mention the other brands, in this case, just because it's all I know about it anyway. Still a Roland ...

Re: will the fantom be a god purchase for someone who is bli
The soundtrack you posted is impressive. My personal opinion is this: I have nothing against the Fantom, but if I had an FA already and had to choose, it would probably not be the Fantom, because some of the money would go into the high build quality and the deep editing with sequencer, and some sou...

Re: will the fantom be a god purchase for someone who is bli
Hi sklawlor! I don't have a Fantom, but I will try to answer, because no one else has answered yet. I'm not sure the Fantom would be the best idea. The Jupiter X looks better suited for a blind player. It has more faders and knobs, and it seems to be designed for direct and fast access to the sound....

Re: The never-ending "use your DAW" argumentation
If you don't mind I could answer why I did not decide to go buy a Fantom and connect it to my PC. The price is a bit hefty, and I would pay for mostly things I don't need. Fantom has superb build quality, and I need bad build quality. I just frame it like that to make everyone happy reading this tex...

Re: The never-ending "use your DAW" argumentation
I'm just guessing. Somewhere you'll get an answer that can be condensed to "our product offers this, this and this". And then it's possible to reason or to argue about words and their meaning for hours or days or weeks. I believe, what representatives and people acting like so are not fond...

Re: Requests to Roland (official)
My wish list would contain only sequencer ergonomics so that in the end you - don't have to hold buttons like shift while pressing other buttons - don't have to use mandatory touch gestures - don't have to use a stylus or be very precise with your finger tip - don't have to deal with surprising beha...

Control any MC 707 param via MIDI?
Hi :-) I haven't understood the reference manual of the MC 707. It feels like "set up your favorite CC" and less like "control anything via MIDI". Can you control all MC 707 parameters via MIDI without the user interface? Are there some system exclusive messages to either change ...

Read MSB and LSB from Display?
Hi, when I have selected a patch, is there a button or something to see what midi data for the program change would be necesary for that patch? E.g. I find E.Guitar 1 to be nice, then I can look it up in the parameter guide. But if I'd like to skip the look up .... What I can see is this.. DS 0051 ....

Re: Idle blinking
Thanks! :) I tried it again and I think I could have managed to deactivate the idle blinking. I believe it's connected to the power-saving setting.
