Re: MV Killer (sorry)
9019 Roland flagship release and its more crippled gear not even capable of what the mv8800 can do. New Fantom series no audio tracks. New MC707 8 tracks and no song mode on release? Blehhh Sorry Roland. You missed the mark again. Maybe next year. Way too expensive too for what it offers next to com...

Re: MV Killer (sorry)
It’s now May 2019 and still no MV Killer..... A lot of cool products out now that come close to matching some features, but not the whole thing as a standalone unit. Roland - stop with the Cloud instrument subscription BS and just do a new MV with all the same features on faster and slightly smaller...

The 303 - how did I miss this for years?
Don’t know why I didn’t recognize it in some of my favorite tracks years ago, but glad I finally wised up. Got a TB-03, then got an MB33 in the quest for closer sound, then finally bought a Din Sync RE-303 What a fun sequencer and clocks great with a midi to din sync converter. Running my RE-303 now...

Re: New Boutique Synth RUMORS?
So I got my tb-03. Brilliant for the price. It’s close enough for me, but even better to have that authentic slide action on 303 lines. It really sounds good to me. I’ve recreated tb-303 sounds on both analog and virtual analog, but this instantly nails it with no work and the three types of overdri...

Re: New Boutique Synth RUMORS?
I brought 1 and then next thing I know I ended up buying 4 more of them. POWERFUL is all I can say about these little boxes but to be honest I really love sound modules. If anything though I wish roland made a 61key controller just for the boutiques. Preferably one where you could line up 3-4 of th...

Re: HELP with JX-03 Boutique Synth
There is an iPad app with in-app purchases that includes a va synth and is a collection of tutorial videos and exercises on how to identify sounds and their components, and recreate them by ear. Highly useful for learning sound design basics. I’m still studying but have been learning on my own for y...

Re: New Boutique Synth RUMORS?
Crap. I just had to buy a slightly used tb-03 still at a reasonable price. Damn these little cute and fun machines!

Re: Tr-09 midi issues
Hi i am trying to get my Akai mpd 32 to play the drums of the tr-09. I can see the midi indicator in reaper going to the tr-09 and have set the mpd to play midi cc 36 BD. It is though the tr-09 is not accepting midi in. It outputs midi no problem and the midi ports are set in reaper. It is all conn...

Re: .wav files
I batch converted all my 24 bit unsupported files to 16 bit with a free program called Switch. Really fast to do about 35gb of 24 bit samples I had.

Re: MV Killer (sorry)
Well, haven’t found an MV killer yet, but having more fun than should be legal with new Synthstrom Audible Deluge Sequencer/Synth/Sampler. Its not deep like the MV, but has a leg up on most other competition including (I think) the new MPC’s. Wicked fun and creative box in a small footprint. It will...

Re: New Boutique Synth RUMORS?
I swooped up on the tr-08, tr-09, se-02, jx-03, JR-08, d-05, and sh-01a Really loving these little synths. I got so much bigger gear that having these little guys, some good cases for them, and a new Synthstrom Audible Deluge to sequence them is my portable ticket to sonic mayhem. A couple of these ...

Re: MV Killer (sorry)
Holy crap, reading all the issues with the new MPC, it can actually be called an "MPC Killer" - it's like an Ouroboros eating itself. Meanwhile back in Roland land..... "Hmm hmm doo to-dooo...Just gonna turn on my mv again and...damnit! It is working flawlessly yet again! Why oh why w...

Re: MV Killer (sorry)
MPC Live released missing features. Has a wealth of bugs. Gonna take going through some growing pains to get it right. That is to be expected. The part that should be noted is how long Akai takes to get it right or if they actually keep working on it long enough to get it right. Given their track re...

Re: Copperlan - interesting video
Copperlan is a great utility program for virtual patching, but it does tie you to a pc. I used to use it frequently when I was using my pc with ableton and hardware. Mostly for virtual midi cables, never had ethernet connections on it for midi over ethernet. I prefer sequencing multiple pieces of ha...
