Re: Sustain Without Pedal At Top End
There was another discussion on the forum about this, it's on the SuperNatural acoustic pianos. It's part of the behaviour modelling and is supposed to be doing that. A real piano also does this, although maybe the FA is a little less subtle that the real thing!

Re: How do u turn off roll & flams (BMT?) in Integra SN-D sn
To turn off modulation for the whole kit, go to Part View & scroll right all the way to the Midi Tab at the end, look for the "MD" column, and turn it to Off for the part/channel the drums are playing on. This will stop any modulation messages getting through for that part, so you can ...

Re: FA-06 as usb interface -> midi sync out for external syn
Check page 101 of the Reference Manual for the FA. Under System Settings, scroll through to Midi settings and turn USB Midi Thru to "on". This is what the description says and it sounds like it will solve your problem; "Specifies whether MIDI messages received via the USB COMPUTER por...

Re: Did Roland just D-day us all?
Yes, it can be standalone - no PCs required for production; but does integrate with DAWs should that be the desired workflow. PS Know what you mean - I've been there too when my studio just went 'so last year'! Thanks Cello, that's what I needed to know. I've nothing against working "in the bo...

Re: Did Roland just D-day us all?
Not what I expected to see in my inbox this morning! Finally, the Fantom returns as a true flagship workstation, looking at the online manuals, it's going to give the Kronos some serious competition. And the Jupiter-X? Just look at it, it's a stunner! I'm hoping the new Fantom is a stand-alone works...

Roland Documentary on YouTube
YouTube user Alex Ball has uploaded a very well made documentary about Roland - it's history, demonstrations of some of the more important & iconic products, as well as the influence Roland/Boss has had on music over the years. Well worth checking out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcbpRMZIQ8g

Re: StudioSet INIT failed
Have you saved the INIT Studio set? The manual isn't really clear on that. Once you've performed a studio set initialize, you need to write the Init studio set to overwrite what was there before, otherwise your own set will remain. Hope this helps you out.

Re: Which known bands/songs use the FA?
Keys player for Ariana Grande uses an FA-08, along with a Nord Stage & Fantom G - look up the BBC Live Lounge sessions, as does Spandau Ballet recently (FA-07). Berenice Scott (keys for Heaven 17 & Tony Visconti) uses both an 06 & 08 on stage.

Re: Please Help - No Volume
From the Integra 7 troubleshooting pages; "If USB-MIDI Thru is on, MIDI messages received at MIDI IN will be re-transmitted without change from USB OUT, so the sound generator will not produce sound. If you want to play the sound generator via the MIDI IN connector, turn USB-MIDI Thru off."...

Re: *Some* Instruments Without Sound
I have no idea. I am simply attempting to screen the signs with the default settings of the box right from the factory. It would seem to me that a user would have to go through some complex editing in order to reproduce the problem is I am having with the sounds right now. Picking up on the word &q...

If you download EXP-02 from the Axial site, it includes a PDF listing all the tone names and waveforms available in it.

Re: What Can I Power (or shouldn't) with the USB Port
Shouldn't do any harm at all. I've had my FA-06 power a USB clip light, Roland A-49 controller and a Novation Ultranova from the USB port. (Obviously not all at the same time!) I can't remember what the voltage output is for powered USB, maybe 5v, but it seems anything that requires a powered USB po...

Re: FA-07 Keybed Quality
FWIW, when you get the 07 you can download the Synth Legends (or Synth Legends Pure) set from Axial and it has a set of D-50 sounds in it. They're just like the original, though not as many as the D-05. But if you just want some sounds to whet your appetite, the D-50 set and what comes stock might ...

Right, and thanks Mum for the unconditional support you provide to those kids who definitely don't want to bother reading the fucking manual. They know you are here for them, in fact, they rely essentially on your free electronic survey! You know, I'm just trying to help out the OP with a problem. ...
