When i randomise my pattern, it randomises everything but the kick - how can i make it randomise everything but the snare also?

when i use the random pattern generator, it randomises everything but the kick lol! Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Seems silly that it wouldn't random the most important part of the pattern.

Love the randomise feature on the TR08, but when i use it, it randomises everything but the kick, the kick pattern stays the same.

Any ideas?

Hi, I like to program a sequence on the 101, then transpose the sequence as it plays, but i find i have to hold the transpose button in whilst i play the keyboard. Is there a way to keep the transpose button held in so i have both hands free? if this is not possible, is it possible to record the mid...

I got the Alesis Q25 - made my own little stand for the 101 to sit on top of it, works perfectly. Looks great too. The keys are full size, velocity sensitive, well happy.

Ok, I'm getting somewhere now, gone back to ableton, looks like it was a simple setting issue in midi prefs. I'm trying it in logic, but i can't get it to work there either, here is a screen shot of my settings for logic -

Could you maybe send a blank template for logic of how you have it set up so i can see please?

Am i right in thinking that midi can be passed from the USB midi in on my keyboard, to the midi out on the keyboard, which I've got plugged in to the midi in on the sh01a

I'm sure i read that it does in the manual. Just wanted to double check.

Ah yes i think we're on the same page, i just can't seem to get that final part right for some reason. The midi in ableton is playing back ok, and seeming to send there midi out of ableton to my midi controller ok, but it doesn't seem to be sending them note messages to the 101 telling it to transpo...

That’s fine, as I expected. In my eyes it should be sending these notes to my midi keyboard, which would then pass them to the 101 via midi in. Now, if I hold the transpose key down it should be transposing the sequence just as if I was pressing the keys on the keyboard.
