Re: Juno 106 plugout missing on my System 8 - V1.02
if you press the Juno 106 plugout button the System-8 it says 'Coming Soon!' - so they're hardly going to build that into the System-8 if they weren't going to deliver it! I recall a similar "promessa di marinaio" From Korg! In the form of the Function button on the Oasys and dumping hard...

Re: Juno 106 plugout missing on my System 8 - V1.02
This is a bit of a deal breaker for me at the moment,I had preordered a System 8 but have since cancelled my order,I don't understand why Roland promised the Software for it but it's not finished even in a beta stage to ship with the Hardware at the moment????I love the JP8 and system 8 engine and w...

Re: So many tracks
Track count means nothing, you use as much as as little as the track needs or the genre you create,I've never utilised more than about 15 tracks in a song, and most of the time its the vocal that uses the most track count due to takes back in the early days before digital and loads of options many pro...

Re: Is the amazing VC-1 card still available (for D50 sounds
The VC-1 prices are high on eBay. buying an actual D-50 and have it on the same stand as my V-Synth. You can say that again....I think there was one on there(ebay) recently for £350+ UK pounds, and there was the VC2 as well which was well into the £500 mark. Getting hold of a VC1 is one thing but i ...

Re: Is the amazing VC-1 card still available (for D50 sounds
The VC-1 has long been discontinued so you won't be able to purchase it from Roland any longer, your best option is try Ebay they do crop up from time to time but expect to pay top dollar for it,they are quite rare, either that or source yourself a V-Synth XT which has the card onboard.

Re: sequencer
I'm curious if in song mode you can trigger patterns externally with either a midi foot controller or keyboard. Thus I could record 16 different patterns and trigger them remotely with the FC-200 for example. My hands are too busy to reach over and hit the pads for changing patterns. Does this seem...

Re: sequencer
I never bother using the Song mode,as I always sequence external midi gear so never utilise the Audio tracks If you Import SMFiles into the Pattern mode your not restricted to just being able to load 16 songs, each pattern in the MV8800 can be a whole song in itself. Using the Pattern mode to import ...

Re: VC-1 Card backup files
Hi PauloF Thanks for that,I'm in the process of getting a VC D50 card for my original V synth keyboard but it doesn't have the CD rom backup files with it,I can't find any downloads for these files on the roland sites and a search just draws a blank,I basically just want the backup files incase I ne...

VC-1 Card backup files
Does anyone have a link to or the original files that came with the original VC1 card (i.e. the backup .bin files)For the D50 card. I believe the Card came with a CD rom with backup data/editor incase you need to restore the files on the pc card,I can't seem to source it from any Roland Support site...

Wouldn't a picture of the actual MV Expansion board have been more reassuring to a prospective buyer?its like selling a car and then posting a picture of a car park full of cars!.Mistamixx1 wrote:Striker10 wrote:A realistic offer. protect the transaction when I sale it. Re: Shoddy Showmanship!
For example Yanni used what, 6 tritons in his Acropolis performance? I think the logo was covered on those and I play it out in my head that his management team called up Korg asking for sponsorship/marketing money and they said no, so they decided to cover it up. Just my guess there though. It's d...

Re: Jupiter-80 successor
I kind of had a love/hate relationship with my JP80,I could see the potential in it,and I gave it everything learning the thing but the way the the OS was in terms of file structure was just the last straw,I'm a seasoned programmer and been a sessions muso for over 20 years Having used many differen...
