Re: Problems with my X8
Could be a bad pitch bend lever. They have been known to fail. Probably not time dependent, but just some vibration from playing the keys that causes the problem. You might try holding a key down and then rapping the keyboard around the pitch bend to see if you can create the problem. I don't think ...

Re: Quirks / Paranoia
Great Scott! Here I've been stocking up on water and canned food never thinking about how will I power up my Fantom X. What I really should be stocking my cellar with is a Juno-Di and a gross of batteries.
Thanks Ian, you may have saved me.

Re: A MONSTER MODULE care of APPLE!
I love it! It looks so at home.
What kind of stand are you using? I need some way to place the ipad near the keyboard but I also carry mine around the house all the time, so it has to remain portable.

Re: Tonal Differences Between Each Studio Monitor-Normal?
Hi AM, I've got a pair of Rokit 8s that I am happy with, but I have never tried your careful noise test. I'm somewhat surprised by your result because I would think these speakers are manufactured in relatively high volume and would be very similar in performance, too close to detect a difference wi...

Re: Just bit the bullet!
You will love it. I'm thinking about how nice it would be to use one to control Garageband or Logic while sitting over at the piano. Really tough using a remote mouse and trying to hit record from across the room.

Re: Roland Backstage has been hacked into..
As someone who foolishly followed the advice in the email, I called Roland to see if the email was legitimate. They told me it is from them.

Re: PHISHING WARNING: “ROLAND BACKSTAGE” email
Here is the final word (I think). I called the -3740 number and got the same phone tree with an answer that said the email is real and that to be safe, if you use the Roland site password for other sites, you should change it just to be safe. As an aside, I have read so much about how poor Roland su...

Re: PHISHING WARNING: “ROLAND BACKSTAGE” email
Well, I wondered what I had done, so I called the Roland Support phone number that came in the email, 323 890-3700. It took me to the typical phone tree, but eventually to someone who answered the phone (with little hold time). The person on the line said "yes", the email did come from Rol...

I also got the message. Did click a link and change my password. Seems to have been legitimate. Can now login with new password on Roland US site.

Re: Panning Synth apps
Thanks, Synthron. Can't answer your question, but am really glad you posted it. I didn't know the iPad could run two synth apps simultaneously. Just tried what you suggested and, of course, it works. Am constantly amazed at what the iPad can do.
