Re: This is where you can tell Roland what you want from the next MC707 firmware update
Make the automation on 707/101 sequencer great AGAIN! The whole concept of having static 4 lines of automation per track is not good. If I put A decay on step 7 that decay will always sound on step7 => static too static So here are few additions that would make motion "sing" or bring "...

ADSR for Tone Track Confusion
The "ADSR Envelope Switch" is all over the mc707 manual. That "switch" should enable the T2 part of the envelope for tone tracks or as Roland calls it enable "Extended Envelope". But I cannot find that "magic switch" in the manual nor on the unit. I've spend 2...

Re: This is where you can tell Roland what you want from the next MC707 firmware update
As a new user, I don't feel the need for more functions or gadgets. But what I do feel is a need for a user friendly menu system. * Long lists with parameters is totally unnecessary with this pretty big screen. * EQs, Compressors, ENVs etc. Make them graphical! * Redesign menu operation for less sc...

-They give access to the partials but not the key range of them. -They give you the option to set the lfo to step but no edit to the steps. -They give us sampling input (usb) but no option to really sample.(trim-normalise sample) -They give you the option to use samples in the partials but no optio...

Re: This is where you can tell Roland what you want from the next MC707 firmware update
A question rises, where is the place where Roland listens ? The official YT Roland channel keeps emphasizing by each firmware update that "they are listening to the users" Who are these users? Can anyone here point me to that group ? We will be lucky if 1-3 of suggestions in this thread wi...

this should get on wish list to have alternate sample added to next firmwareNig wrote:You can't choose the alternate sounds. They are what they are. Also, all the sounds with '/' in the name are ACB modelled, not samples, so you won't be able to make your own:-(

Re: TR8S feature requests
isn’t the scatter implementation lame ? any opinions, needs some life right ? - faster sample load - more motion CTL ...yes - more than one LFO to get some life - ability to control the roll velocity - shift + value directly changes the value (no need to hit enter) or enter + value for ONE hand para...

Re: TR8S feature requests
I'd agree with most of these, especially the Sample per step. I'd like to see either the ability to apply motion to more than one CTRL option - AFAICT you can only do one, or allow the tune and decay knobs to be assignable like the ctrl knob. I'd also add the ability to import samples contained in ...

Re: Paramter Pickup mode?
No pickup mode, Let me know if you want to do a petition for Roland. I have a few pieces of Roland gear that would need some urgent tweak(s) in existing firmware... Here is how I deal with missing Pickup mode. There are only like 2-5 knobs on boutiques(depend which one) that would introduce a jump t...

Re: Is the JX-03 being overlooked?
Whenever you try and emulate or copy you will pretty much always end out with a worse version than the original... Funny you said that..... I’ve got jx-03 finally. Dialed a simple sawtooth with filter at 11’o and resonance on 9’o. and jx-03 has a lot more bass and smoothiness in it compared to the ...

.... and is why I got it (jx-03) ... I too do enjoy jp-08 ... great little beastiixorb wrote:... And it's a shame that they've kept the same 16 slot limitation of the JX3P because of the three main synth Boutiques, I find the JX03 the most inspirational for creating new, usable patches.
