RAM is the working memory (just like in PC) - It's not persistent memory.
The amount of RAM defines how much sample data can be in use simultaneously.
You must save your samples to Smart Media Card, it's like the hard drive.

Yes, this is how you do it.waxdat wrote:If I want to make a PC on a track while its playing, do I have to record a PC? Basically by entering the PC MSB LSB numbers in the event editor?

Here are the bank change values for Korg: http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/bank-change-messages-for-korg-products/ It's weird if your Triton doesn't respond to program changes, though... (It's worth it to try with other MIDI cable - sometimes tiny contact errors can cause the most weirde...

What values you use for the bank change MSB & LSB? EDIT: These are the bank change values I use with XV-5080, they should be compatible with 5050: USER MSB=87 LSB=0 CD-A MSB=87 LSB=32 -- memory card PR-A MSB=87 LSB=64 PR-B MSB=87 LSB=65 PR-C MSB=87 LSB=66 PR-D MSB=87 LSB=67 PR-E MSB=87 LSB=68 PR...

Sorry the late response (I managed to forget this) but how about 280€ for six extra output for your MV? :)Soul One wrote:Hell yeah, I am interested. How much is it?Seccione wrote:>> I might be ready to sell my converted SP808-OP1 if someone is interested. <<

Re: MV8-OP1 FOR SALE!
Does anyone know the way around besides the sp808 op1 being converted to op1 for mv8800, will just ruin my MV if I try that. What do you want to know, specifically? (I'm the sucker who did the sp808-op1 mod.) You'll probably won't easily ruin your MV by doing that, but of course with bad luck every...

Re: Alternatives for MV8-OP1 (Hacking project.)
You don't think you'll take a shot at the digital input? That's the goodie in my opinion..... Maybe at some point... Personally I don't really need it because I can use my audio interface to sample from digital sources, if needed. Analogue sampling it the king, because you can route the signal trou...

Re: Alternatives for MV8-OP1 (Hacking project.)
As mentioned above, the analog outputs are already working.
I haven't had time to work this further, but the next thing I'll do it to make the 'hidden' third MIDI-output somehow usable.
(I'm using my MV as the master sequencer to control other gear.)

Re: MV-8000 hard drive to solid state drive?
SSD doesn't make much difference to 7200rpm drive. the PATA/IDE connector is the bottleneck here. With SSD you get a silent drive without heat generation, and presumably no slowing down when the drive gets fragmented. (My MV had a very fragmented drive, so after switching to SSD the difference was m...

Ok, I actually got this working! https://www.gearslutz.com/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=473881&d=1433346942 The strange wire-thingy on the top-right corner is the modification I had to make to configure DA converters to be compatible with the MV. :D Now I have 6 extra output in my MV, and I...

No I just copied stuff to PC trough USB. Slow as hell, but I had beer.
