Re: System 1-m Ext In Volume Way Too Low
You're definitely right, the Mixer Sub Osc level does control the volume of the Ext In and that's how I have this wired up: Korg MS-20 output jack to 1-m Ext In jack. Changing the Mixer Sub Osc level does work...the problem is even with the Korg output volume and 1-m Mixer Sub Osc on 10 the sonic vo...

System 1-m Ext In Volume Way Too Low
Hi all, I'm running the output of a Korg MS-20 into my System 1-m "Ext In" jack. It works, but the volume is way too low and I'm wondering if there are any tricks that could help me boost it? The output of the Korg is on 10, the System 1-m "Sub Osc" volume is on 10 (which is the ...

Re: System 1m Stereo or Not?
Found an even better solution. I already have a Korg Radias in my setup and can route the output from the System 1m into the Radias audio input and use it's filters, lfo's, adsr, comprehensive effects processor & stereo output to handle all the panning I could possibly want...along with a lot of...

Re: System 1m Stereo or Not?
Thanks KDub, I had a feeling that was the case. I'm thinking it might be great fun to research how to build my own external pan module that would take stereo in, send stereo out, and accept CV from an LFO/Envelope to control the panning effect. I have really basic electronics skills but I think I co...

System 1m Stereo or Not?
So I notice that the System 1m has stereo outputs, yet none of the parameters allow any control of left/right panning (unless perhaps they're hidden in the circuits). Are the onboard reverb and/or delay effect stereo output? Is there anything about the 1m that is actually stereo? If not, it seems a ...

Re: Plug-out opinions
So I notice the original System-100 had 2 LFO's. How is that recreated in the System 1m Plugout version? Not sure I understand how that feature of the original synth can be represented in hardware that only has 1 LFO block. You can only control one from the System-1m. There are other limitations in...

Re: That GREEN light...*gah*
I know someone who customized the LED's in his Korg Radias to get different colors for each virtual module. I believe I remember him saying you have to be careful that your replacement LED's have the same voltage/current requirements as the existing ones, if not you might have to do some resistor mo...

Re: System 1m Patch Library
Not aware of an online site like the one you mentioned, but there is a librarian available from Roland as part of the plug-in version of the system-1. http://www.roland.com/products/system-1_software_synthesizer/downloads/ Download the demo, which includes the librarian and a heap of patches. Thank...

System 1m Patch Library
Just wondering if anyone has started putting together a visual patch library for the System 1m? I'm looking for something that would graphically show how to get specific sounds from the System 1m showing the panel settings and the patch cord configurations. Something along the lines of what this sit...

Re: System 1m Plug Out Opinions
I took a look at the website as well and couldn't find the owners price...after doing some research I've decided to pass on this feature (unless it's super cheap or someone who tries it out 1st can report that it's totally amazing :-) Wasnt that the whole point of the System1, being able to load di...

Re: System 1m Plug Out Opinions
Didn't realize I could give them a free trial...thanks for the info. Anyway, the point I was making was I don't really understand the advantage of this. Is it to give the 1m different sounding oscillators and filters so it sounds like an SH-101 or SH-2? If so, does it really make that big of a diffe...

System 1m Plug Out Opinions
Hi all, just got my System 1m last week and am wondering if anyone can discuss the value of the PLUG-OUT feature. I bought the 1m because of it's semi-modular abilities and that I thought it would be a great teammate with my Korg MS20 desktop but don't really understand the value of the PLUG-OUT fea...
