Re: Newb question: connecting jdxi to manager

Assuming you are using Windows, have you installed the Roland driver for the JD-Xi on your laptop?

Also make sure that both the JDXi Manager and the JD-Xi itself are set to the same RX/TX channel.

Re: 4 bar pattern limitation - fixed in the next OS update?

I highly doubt that there will be another OS update for the JD-Xi, the JD-Xi is 5 years old now and to my knowledge Roland has never provided OS updates to any synth so many years after launch.

That said, there are already ways to overcome the 4 bar limit:

Where have you read about an upcoming firmware update for the JD-Xi?

Re: Created an external song editor for JD-Xi patterns

So, I created a Windows program that provides a simple graphical UI to let me sequence patterns into songs using drag/drop. The program needs the JD-Xi connected through USB (haven't tried over other midi interface). The program works as an external sequencer, requiring the JD-Xi to be in slave mod...

Re: Editor for Mac Users FOUND!

You could try installing WINE and then using the Windows version of my JDXi Manager on MacOS. https://www.winehq.org/ https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/macosx/download.html According to feedback from some people it seems to work, see for example: http://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic.php?f=58&t...

Re: JDXi Manager - Patch Editor for the Roland JD-Xi Synthes

Just want to give the forum my feedback, I tried yesterday with WINE on my macbook OSX 10.10 and everything worked fine for me. That's very good to know, but please keep in mind that unfortunately I cannot provide support for the JDXi Manager running on OS X, as I don't own a Mac, and therefore hav...

Re: JDXi Manager - Patch Editor for the Roland JD-Xi Synthes

The JDXi Manager is for Windows and Linux only.

There never has been a version for Mac.

You are looking for the okJDXiEditor which is a different program by a different person.

I cannot help you with that one as I don't have a copy of it and I have no idea where to find it.

Re: JDXi Manager - Patch Editor for the Roland JD-Xi Synthes

in digital sinth I can change the parameters of the 3 parts at the same time? For example, changing the waveform and the ADSR of the 3 parts at the same time? Not currently, it's not so trivial to implement, but I might add that at some point. What you can do since version 0.28 is create one partia...

Re: JDXi Manager - Patch Editor for the Roland JD-Xi Synthes

Hey guys, I realize this may be a stupid question but I'm going to ask it anyway: this won't work with the Gaia SH-01, right? No, it's tailor-made for the JD-Xi. is this open source No. I mean would it take a lot of work if, say, a developer like myself wanted to implement a new keyboard or make a ...

Re: JD-XI editing glitches?

In that case there is definitely something wrong with your JD-Xi, maybe it's just a dodgy connector but in any case it needs looking at by a repair technician.

Re: JD-XI editing glitches?

How where you editing patches?
Directly on the JD-Xi or with an editor (which one)?

I suspect that your JD-Xi is faulty, I have never heard of anyone else experiencing what you described.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you like the editor.
Android tablet support is very unlikely, I don't even own an Android tablet myself, but you could use a Windows tablet (with Intel CPU) instead.

This is now implemented in the latest release.
