HI,
you have to install the Di'S editor which is described to work with your DS, too. Or you can try to find a DI user, who copies the patch into a library.

Re: XPS-10 As Audio interface
Hi,
no, you can't use the Di as an audio interface, only midi. You can try to route your computers audio through the EXT INPUT, but this is more of an workaround than a solution.

I have a Sonar instrument definition file (.ins), which works in my sequencer. Is it possible to convert/import this format?

Hi,
is the midi file in SMF 0 format (not SMF 1)?
Does the midi file contain PC (Program Change) commands?

Hi,
Press 'Perform', choose number 64 'GM2 Template' with the wheel and try it again. Does this help?

Re: Sound Packs for FA series from Synthcloud
Hi, do a backup first. Be very careful with the "Restore" function as it will overwrite all your settings, studio sets etc. Use the "Import Tone/Studio Set" function instead to choose studio sets from a backup and place them on free slots. Have a look at this video: https://www.y...

Hi,
you don't need the USB to Midi adapter, you can also connect your FA with the USB cable. The FA is recognized as a Midi device, the sound card does not work.
A good starting point for Linux musicians is https://libremusicproduction.com/

Re: Record a sample or loop for later playback.
Hi,
this is IMHO not possible. You can't record with the Di nor loop samples.

Re: Arbitrary MIDI signal without auxiliary device
Hi,
that is an interesting idea, I would try the following: create a midi-file with your commands and put them onto an USB-Stick. Now insert the stick into your Di and play the midi-file using the song player.
Does this work?

Hi,
170 in column one is only an enumeration for all patches, have a look at column two: Ky042 means number 42.
