Style Editor
Where can I get a style editor for PC? I just need to reassign tones within some styles, but doing it in the GW8 style editor is a pain in the butt. Ive found something called "Style Works", but at 200 EUR it's obviously aimed at professionals who play for a living, not a hobbyist and for ...

Re: FA-08 vs Juno-DS88
The DS88 has absolutely no advantage over the FA. Juno-DS has a pattern sequencer rather than a linear sequencer, but whether that's an advantage or not depends on the users needs. :-) The FA also has microphone input. So does the Juno-DS, it even has a gain knob for it like the one you find on a G...

Re: Emergency! FA-06 stuck on Boot-up Screen
Yes, it's just like doing an update. The manual specifically says don't try to re-install a version that you already have (in my case I would have put 1.03 back onto it) so I thought it was weird that they'd tell me to do it anyways. The reason the manual says so, is because theres always a risk wh...

Re: request on next updates
Also -Import samples/mp3 from usb rather than sd card -export individual user tones and studio sets rather than all tones and sets so that we can share our sounds i'll add more when something comes to mind Ill second that, because it seems to be a general issue as the GW-8 and Juno-DS suffers from ...

Re: request on next updates
Right here is a almost 13MB firmware upgrade for the FA-series.
It contains several bugfixes and adds a new feature (support for USB WiFi device) as well.
I dunno when they released it for download, but the bin-file is dated june 2015.

Re: Newb question...
So technically, the FA will do multisample user patches that plays from the keys? Is there any drawbacks/disadvantages to this? Things like it locks out other features or whatever? I just got a Juno-DS61 and I chose it over the FA-06 for its pattern sequencer, but that sequencer turned out to not to...

Re: New Juno DS Series
Second thoughts.... Im actually having second thoughts about the Juno-DS61 now, because the reason I went with that rather than the FA-06 was because Id rather have a pattern sequencer than a linear sequencer. But the more I study the pattern sequencer in the Juno-DS, the more I realize it can never...

Re: New Juno DS Series
Anyone else here with a Juno-DS? I got a DS61 two days after u got urs mate. :-D I've also done a "little" review here for those who might be interested, forgive me if some of my statements are wrong, I've only had it for a couple of days so far. ;-) The Juno-DS is a multifunction machine...

Re: Instrument definition files for GW-8
Being convinced that the file has to be out there, I spent over 2 hrs last night searching the web for it.....again. At one point I even resorted to use wayback machine to find the direct link to the file at roland.com, because I figured that the file might be on the server, even in the same path, s...

E-A7 - specs?
Does anyone have any information on the E-A7, like what sound engine does it use? On Rolands website it only says "over 1,500" sounds; Well that's nice, but where are they inherited from, for what I know it might as well be the SC- or G- series sound library, repacked into a new fancy case...
Re: Patch map
Thank u very much. :-) So no patchmap support on the i7 I guess. :-/ The ideal solution would be to get an arranger keyboard based on the i7, but afaik that doesn't exist? Does Roland have any arranger keyboard or just arranger (with style support) that would at least work somewhat integrated with t...
Patch map
Im considering getting an Integra-7 as it seems to have the most complete soundbank with sounds of proper quality, along with MFX for each track. My GW-8 arranger works very well for me, but a lot of its sounds are really poor quality, namely the acoustic sounds. Preferably it shd be so I can keep u...

Set tempo for style - how ??
Im doing user styles, but im quite fed up with the tempo not saving. I go to the menu, choose "Style composer" then choose a part, press "Tap tempo", use the dial to set desired tempo, press "write", choose "style", confirm overwrite etc. and TADAAAA, tempo is...

Re: Instrument definition files for GW-8
When i click that link (http://www.roland.com/synth/GW/download_E.html ) it redirects me to this page: http://www.roland.com/categories/synthesizers/ and there's no instrument def file there... :-( Ive been googling for more than an hour now and the file isn't to be found anywhere online. Poor suppo...
