Re: Modulation
I don't think they gave us that option, unfortunately.

Re: Is there a way to disable internal monitoring?
Ah. I don't use DAWs, so I've never run into this problem. On my computer, I can route as many audio devices to anywhere I want. Sorry, I was of no help.

Re: JU-06 Step Sequencer starts automatically in Ableton
I got around it by just making my first pattern empty. That way I can use the sequencer when I want, but by default it's not making a noise.

Re: Is there a way to disable internal monitoring?
Stupid question, I'm sorry. But have you tried plugging your headphones into the computer instead of the synth?

Re: TR-09, TR-03, VP-03 Images
I was judging the TB-03 purely by it's own merits. I have never tried any other Boutique instruments before. Just was saying the things that I miss or would prefer. Sorry. Wasn't meaning to call you out specifically. I've seen a lot of people who knew fully well what the usual boutique specs were, ...

Re: TR-09, TR-03, VP-03 Images
It's interesting that people are upset that the boutiques have all the same things as the other boutiques. The second they leaked I knew everything about them, except that they improved the bit rate on the output. That was a happy surprise.

Re: Possible CC control?
I am confused... when I look at the midi implementation chart (aug-03-'16) it looks like roland is supporting CC values, e.g. here the JX-03: https://static.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/JX-03_MIDI_Imple_e02_W.pdf Or are you trying to do something different with these sysex things? Grit, the boutique...

Now, do I want to wait for official chart or am I just gonna sit here and figure it all out myself.

Re: A-01 audible stepping with LFO filter modulation
Sam, this isn't an official Roland forum so I don't know how likely someone from Roland will see your post. But from what I understand, the A-01's 8-bit synth is supposed to be quick and dirty. The programmer was limiting himself when creating it and taking out the bugs or applying those suggestions...

Re: JP-08 manual help
It is confusing for them to call it scale in this place. They're talking about the step length. Hold down the step you want a longer length and hold down a step further down the lane and it'll make a longer note. (Can't be used for slides) Manual 10 only changes the scale if you're using the pitch s...

Re: First impressions - JP-08 and JU-06
I love the Roland JP-08 and it works pretty well with my Lineage Guitar controler. But the MIDI is a little bit glitchy compared to the MIDI in my other synths - Moog Voyager and Dave Smith Prophet 12. What is really troubling me is the noise I get through my computer when I plug into the USB port,...

Re: Using JP-08 as a sequencer
I got a Beatstep Pro and I don't think you'll regret your purchase. It is a much more versatile sequencer than the one in the Boutiques, anyway.

Re: Using JP-08 as a sequencer
The sequencer is internal only. It is not made for sequencing other gear.
For sequencing other synths, I use an Arturia Beatstep Pro.

Re: Notes not registering into Sequencer using external keys
Unfortunately, that is the only way to program the sequencer. (Unless you want to text edit the sequencer data on your computer)
