Re: YOURS loyalty program
This whole concept does make me think twice about over relying on the Roland Cloud plugins in my tracks; even more so now that I understand the 'Yours / P24L' scheme doesn't guarantee access in, say 15 years from now if the service gets pulled. That said, many other vsts like Omnisphere etc require...

Re: YOURS loyalty program
If something is dropped from the catalog then forget it cause it will be gone. I do not like this set-up Roland has going on. A few years from now they could scrap this whole cloud thing then everything will be gone. I like to own my instruments Hardware and Software. As the generations change, I b...

Re: Future Roland Cloud offer for existing Roland Store cust
Hopefully they will also keep updating the Roland store versions. As the faq above says "please do not install the Roland Cloud versions of any synths you own- a different copy protection system will create some challenges!" . No they won't. I asked specifically and was given the reply th...

Re: Future Roland Cloud offer for existing Roland Store cust
The FAQ has had this info about compensating existing Roland Contents Store customers for a long time now. When will it be reality? I have already purchased a PLUG-OUT Synth from the Roland Contents Store- what does the change to a subscription service under Roland Cloud mean for me? First, thank y...

Re: System 1m Controlling Roland Cloud?
Thanks heaps for your quick reply! Just to be clear - When you say it will work as a general midi controller, do you mean will it auto-assign all of it's knobs and faders to the appropriate parameters on the Juno and Jupiter software like it would with the Sh-101? Or do you mean you need to manuall...

Re: YOURS loyalty program
The problem I see with this is your selecting two musicians your then paying monthly for anyway? For those that don't cancel there really isn't a loyalty program because they are not benefiting. Also the small print says the two instruments will only work while they are part of the Roland Cloud, th...

Re: NKS ?
How well does the system one work to control the d50 or 1080? I’ve been going nuts mapping out controls in a logical way but there are so many of them. The D-50 and the JV-1080 are not mapped to the S1 or the S8... I realized this after some research. I’ve mapped out one partial and some patch para...

Re: NKS ?
Guess never, but it is actually quite easy to build an NKS template that works for most of the Roland Cloud synths, as they are all using the System-8 MIDI implementation. You will miss that clever preset preview though... Personally I use my System-1 to control the RC synths since everything is so ...

Re: Roland JX-3P in da cloud!
Yesterday I spent an hour doing some comparisons between the Roland Cloud JX-3P and the recordings of my old physical 3P (now sold). I tried to reconstruct the same sounds from my notes and compared how they turned out. Actually - not bad at all. In fact, they sound pretty identic. The only differen...

Re: What is UP with the CPU usage of the Roland Cloud plugin
Hi there, This is actually my first post here. And as you can see by my title...I'm looking for answers. Advice. Actually anything besides "getting a new laptop" since I can't really...do that yet. I'll start with my computer specs. I would say all in all they're not that bad for using as...

Re: Does anyone know what model keyboard/synthesizer this is
Yeah, he used a couple different models throughout the series. The point is the synthesizer has a feature where two (harmonized) notes can be played just by pressing one key. If anyone knows of Roland models that have that feature feel free to let me know. That would be every two-oscillator synth w...

Re: Noise From Analog Section
Yep, that is the JD-XA. Mine does not display any digital clicks, but boy, it sure is noisy. Actually the second noisiest synths I have ever owned (the winner being the Juno-106, the noise from that one is just silly). It is not a fault per se, just something that comes with the analog circuit terri...
