Re: Transposing via Midi command
I didn't have F7 at the end needed to close, it worked without them for me but guessing could lead to problems at some stage! F0 41 10 00 00 77 12 01 00 00 0C 3B 48 F7 = -5 F0 41 10 00 00 77 12 01 00 00 0C 3C 49 F7 = -4 F0 41 10 00 00 77 12 01 00 00 0C 3D 4A F7 = -3 F0 41 10 00 00 77 12 01 00 00 0C ...

Change midi Receive Channel
Hi, ANybody know how to change the midi receive channel? I use an app to send midi commands, but it only receives commands on channel 1 at the minute, I want to change it to use channel 2. The only Midi channel option I see is "Studio Set Control Channel" but recieve is still on channel 1....

Re: Transposing via Midi command
mp3ireland2, I don't do much with MIDI so this was pretty high above my head, but just wanted to leave a note to commend you on some great work. Thank you for all the edits and posts, keeping things going, and then at the end coming back to provide a clear answer for future people searching... it's...

Re: Transposing via Midi command
For anybody who just wants the answers in case you google and use a tablet app for sheet music and want to change keys when a song loads! Transposing Roland FA-08 by midi commans (up or down keys): F0 41 10 00 00 77 12 01 00 00 0C 3B 48 = -5 F0 41 10 00 00 77 12 01 00 00 0C 3C 49 = -4 F0 41 10 00 00...

Re: Transposing via Midi command
I think I've figured it out, based on back calculating how the guy did the Roland XP ones for me. Now to try it out, hopefully it transposes it -5! [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] address value # end F0 41 10 00 00 77 12 01 00 00 0C 3B 48 F7 EDIT 1: Nope of course not. I don't fully understand the address and t...

Re: Transposing via Midi command
Thanks, I used transpose with my last synth, is there a diference between the two? I feel i can see what my tranpose level is at and therefore adjust manually. When there are lower case letters prior to the H like below does that mean you put a value there? so in the coarse tuning I just put in data...

Transposing via Midi command
Hi, I recently updgrading from an XP50 and am trying to figure out the midi comands to transpose. I'm not great at midi, but very handy for live sets to have the right key selected when I open a tune. For the XP50 somebody took pity on me (thanks rcraven) and calculated this list: F0 41 10 6A 12 00 ...

Re: Master volume control via midi command
So further research led me to the midi sysex Universal Realtime System Exclusive command: F0 7F 7F 04 01 00 ML F7 if (00t o 7F) decimal (0*127) (I'm guessing this will work on Roland XP as seems to be answer for integra) Where ML is the master volume level, this will work on all midi devices F0 7F 7...

Re: Master volume control via midi command
THanks for the info. So i've found the details in the instructions. Per your post the midi channel will be 1 and if that matches then I ignore the "status" when entering the command change in mobile sheets, Status 2nd Byte 3rd Byte Bnh 07H vvH Ah as i'm writing this I think i've realised i...

Re: Roland XP-50 Aftertouch
It is normal to have to press hard for aftertouch to come into effect. There's a system setting to control the sensitivity that the manual recommends to be left at 100 (most sensitive). The control effect of the aftertouch is something that has to be edited in the patches as it can be programmed to ...

Master volume control via midi command
Is it possible to control the volume via midi commands? I use mobilesheets to send midi messages from my tablet for each song I play, transpose and patch select. I'd also like to send a volume command in the same way to set a different volume level for each song. Is this possible without having to c...

Roland XP-50 Aftertouch
HI, I've a Roland XP-50 and looking for a tutorial somewhere on how to use aftertouch, some performances I have seem to have it activated but i've to press very hard, is it used by default on patches or is it something that needs to be edited in the patch? I have limited enough knowledge of patch ed...

Re: FA-06 Vs XP 50 key action
So it seems the guy can actually fix my XP50 so i didn't need to invest after all :-) Maybe in time the FA-07 will come down in price, they seem very uncommon. I did love the FA-06 interface when i tried it in the shop and the amount of patches on it was great also. I guess i'll revisit it at some s...

Re: FA-06 Vs XP 50 key action
Guys thank you both for your replies. I manged to actually find a shop in town with a FA-06 and it wasn't as bad as I feared. I thought afterwards I also play a piano accordion for some songs with smaller keys so I think i'm probably ok at adjusting. They keys i admit did seem unsatisfying for want ...
