Try go to systems menu then change usb driver from "vendor" to "generic" (or possibly the other way)

It is sadly not possible to upload new samples, but in voice edit you might find what you are looking for. Also by layering the voices, different PCM's and waveforms you might get pretty close.

As far as I know the axial sounds are not actual sounds, it just utilize the PCM sounds and oscillators+filters that are in the jdxi. The PCM sounds can sadly not be changed. But if you go through the PCM list you will find alot of nice sounds, and with voice layering you can make alot of cool stuff...

Since Roland still sells this amazing synth I think that it could get an extra boost by adding more features. 1-Holding shift (or enter) and turning the envelope knob adjusts filter envelope. (kind of like how swing works) 2-Holding shift then then turning Level knob adjusts the filter envelope mod ...

You can also alter volumes in the Menu > Program, that is also where you can specify Reverb and delay amount individually.

Yes! the Jd-Xi is a one of a kind, and I do not think I will ever sell mine even though I think it sounds both super and horrible(cheesy) at the same time. Wish it had more of those super natural stuff, at least one for the drum set and a better piano! Not to forget if you put it through a saturatio...

One feature I would like to have is a way to control filter envelope, my suggestion would be to hold enter or shift button then control filter envelope with the envelope knob.
Perhaps also Depth control with the amp knob :)

I recorded the midi notes and filter controls into ableton, everything is fine and the control recordings are smooth. However when I play the ableton MIDI clip the midi control sent to jdxi is delayed. Sometimes it is quite precise, other times it is delayed a whole beat! I only use the jdxi and cpu...

Have you tried to set the jdxi to generic in the settings menu?

Does that mean the jd-xi can also load integra7 sounds as can be done with the jdxa? Also i wonder if there any good piano sounds on the jd-xa? The one on the jd-xi is not very good.
