Backup file confusion
I really, really hope that someone in this group can assist me with my problem. I know that only one backup file can exist on a flash drive. When I insert the drive into m Macbook Pro, I see the file that is named Roland and in that file are the other files associated with the backup. What I want to...

Jupter 50 owner has questions
Hello, I purchased my Jupiter 50 about 6 weeks and really love it. That being said, I am a member of the Roland Clan Jupiter 50 group and am incredibly disappointed at how unresponsive and lifeless the members are. As a newbie, I think I've posted at least a dozen questions since I got my 50 and hav...

Re: Question from a potential new user
A used Jupiter 50 for around $1000 is more the reality. It's a really nice synth. With the iPad programmer app, you can really get under the hood quickly to edit the tones. Manual is by far the most useless waste of trees I've ever been forced to read. There are some very useful Youtube tutorials of...

Help on programming a patch
My band is doing the Elle King song "X's and O's" and I'm struggling with the sound used in the verses. It's kinda of an ghostly, airy, whistle type patch. It's played on a Nord Stage. I'm playing the vibe sound on my Electro5 and I want to use the Jupiter 50 for the verse sound. Anyone ha...

Re: READ ERROR: HELP!!!!
Thanks for the tip on your app. I discovered that I couldn't rename the file, so I changed the file name back to Roland and now it works. I'm really surprised at how archaic the whole file system is on the Jupiter.

READ ERROR: HELP!!!!
Lsat night I started auditioning the Axial files. As I done many times, I mounted my Roland formatted USB stick and did a backup. I then saved the backup in a folder on my Macbook Pro, naming it as yesterday's date. After loading a few of the files, I wanted to download my saved file to restore the ...

Backup file question
I'm a bit frustrated and confused about how the Jupiter 50 handles file backup. Am I correct that you cannot name the file you are saving to the flash drive and that it must be done on my Macbook Pro? When I mount the flash drive on my Mac and open up the file, there's a file that is named Roland an...

Re: JP Synth Editor questions
One more question - I watched a tutorial on Youtube of the editor and noticed there was the Upper section and the Lower section on the app screen. My screen only shows the Upper layer. When I chose a Registration that had the Lower and Upper buttons highlighted on the keyboard, I still only got the ...

JP Synth Editor questions
I just downloaded the JP synth app into my iPad and have successfully connected the Jupiter 50 the editor. What I can accomplish so far is select a live set on the Jupiter and read it into the editor. I can see how to turn on and off the layers in the live set and the partials in each layer. However...

Backup file question
So please let me get this right; I backed up my Jupiter 50 file to a 1gig flash drive. I saved a copy on my Mac as well. Yesterday I did another backup,as I'm saving them as chronological backups. I discovered that my second backup completely overrode my initial backup. Am I unfortunately assuming r...

Are there any members still in this group?
Being one of the newest members of this group, I'm a bit surprised and frustrated with the lack of responses to most of my posts seeking advice on some issues I've encountered with the Jupiter 50. My attempts at drilling into the manual and interface of the keyboard has so far been extremely frustra...

I drilling through the Solo editing as well as the manual, I kinda unfortunately believing that that is not possible, whereas this can be done on the Lower part. Can anyone PLEASE confirm ...

Soloing tones in a live set question
OK one more newbie question before I quit for the night- I'm in a Registration and have initialized a Live Set for the Upper Part. I'm on the page where I can assign each Tone. I see that by turning off the 3 part buttons, I can mute those tones. However, the 4th Tone is still active. My question is...
