Re: soft synths that compliment a Jupiter 80?

Boy which soft synths ..... thats like asking whats your recommendation for ice cream flavors :) If you haven't gotten into the world of soft synths yet, after you do that might be ALL you ever use again :) Its been 2 months now since getting my Jupiter 80, and for the first few days I played around...

Re: Jupiter-80 Librarian on GitHub

This is huge and very good news! I shelved my Mac G3 years ago and have been PC ever since so this is of no use right now, BUT! It gives us PC users hope at least :) I just got my Jupiter 80 and have lots to keep me busy right now, but at some point a PC editor/librarian will be very useful. I just ...

Re: Need your feedback on the JP-80

Positive : Build quality / Physical Modeling Sound Generators (SuperNatural) / Massive Layering Approach Negative : Lack of AfterTouch Destinations / Lack of External Registration Librarian Keep : Touch Screen / FX sections / Behavior Modeling I hope the Jupiter-80 version 3.0 ! Lack of aftertouch ...

Re: Need your feedback on the JP-80

What would you mainly use a librarian for on the Jupiter-80? Well myself I've used editor librarians since the Opcode Vision/Mac SE30 days to tweak patches and organize banks on my various synths and modules, but I admit after an intial period of tweaking and building my banks I'd rarely touch the ...

Re: Need your feedback on the JP-80

Hi all - I'm doing some research and hoping the Clan can help me. I have three questions that give some key indicators to the most important aspects about the JP-80. I'd like you to give the following: Positive - the one thing you think is the best feature of theJP-80 Improvement - the one thing yo...

Re: Finally got a Jupiter 80!

I'm loving it so far. Sounds fuller than the Integra-7. The keyboard action is slightly lighter than I'd prefer but it feels robust enough for live use. I've got it coupled with an A-88, which is great for playing piano stuff, and a laptop running Win 7 x64, Cantabile 3, Halion Sonic 2, Omnisphere ...

Re: OFFICIAL Librarian Request Thread

If did not happen the first couple of years, It ain't going to now or in the future. Ohh well......When I think back though to the 80's when I was most active in the music buisness, I'd buy a librarian for a synth and my toaster Mac, mess with it for a week or so, get my favorite set of patches on ...

Re: Finally got a Jupiter 80!

Cool I just bought one too with that Sweetwater no interest financing thing. Should be here late next week. I only really needed a new studio DAW controller. Literally every synth action dedicated midi controller I've tried feels like crap, spongy, noisy, cheap, etc. Man I hope this things action is...

Re: OFFICIAL Librarian Request Thread

Ok so no librarian for a Mac/PC, but since there is already an editor for the iPad, how about a librarian for the iPad? Would that be doable?

Need Jupiter 80 Help

Howdy, Well better late than never, I cracked down and bought a Jupiter 80 yesterday to replace my D70. It will get here middle of next week, so I downloaded the manual to get a head start. What I can't find is instructions for sending the audio and midi out via the USB port to a DAW, page 90 doesn'...

Hows the keybed compared to 90's Rolands

Hey guys, Been using both a D70 and JD-800 for over 20 years now. About 10 years ago the red glue that holds the weights on under the keys started dissolving and Roland replaced the keybeds on both synths. The keybed action on both are identicle and excellent. So can someone who's owned the older bo...
