Re: Roland jd -xi ulitmate patches
Small correction: the editor was written by me, Ranzee did the awesome tutorial videos, we are not the same person, in fact we live in totally different parts of the world, Ranzee is in Australia, I'm in Europe. ;) Oh ok, sorry, I thought it is just a youtube nickname. The editor is super awesome a...

Controlling JD-Xi with android USB MIDI ?
I was wondering if anyone ever tried (has any idea) to control JD-Xi or any synthesizer just by connecting the android mobile to the synth with a classic USB cable (not MIDI)? Would it work?

Re: Roland jd -xi ulitmate patches
Frankly speaking, with the free Ranzee's JD-Xi editor, it is very easy to make your own sound patches. The PCM library is vast, however, you can also go all the way and create sounds using only sound wave's, which makes the JD-Xi a very classic sounding synth. Not to mention that the editor literall...

Re: How to copy a sound from a preset Program to a new one
You have to press'n'hold Menu button and press 10 (on the sequencer).

Record on the go / JD XA in live situation
Can you record and erase sequences of JD XA while the sequencer is playing? Real-time or Step rec. I am a happy owner of JD-Xi, thinking of getting more real-time control and sounds with the JD-XA, thinking about an upgrade... but I use synthesizers in 100% live situations, no pre-recorded sequence...

TB-3 pattern resolution
One of my synths (JD-Xi) has only 64 sequencer steps, I tried the trick, in which you "slow down" the BPM to 50% and change the resolution from 16 to 32, so in that way, the sequencer becomes a 128 one, double length. However, the TB-3 plays the notes - 50% slower - does anyone knows if th...

Re: How to initialize a pattern in JD-Xi?
KEEP IT IN MIND: The sound volume settings and general Pattern Settings do not reset or copy. You have to tweak them individually per pattern.klar_kinelis wrote:Enter+Erase etc. does not delete certain sections (eg. sound volume of each synth, general settings)

Re: How to initialize a pattern in JD-Xi?
Many thanks for the answers. It is a bummer that there is no reset button, but limitations only boost the creativity. COMMENTARY: Shift+Erase ('sysEx' or 'All'), Enter+Erase etc. does not delete certain sections (eg. sound volume of each synth, general settings) and some knob movements (sound select...

Extending the length of pattern / LEMUR application
Hey guys, I bumped into this video - some guy extends the length of a pattern on Electribe 2 with a LEMUR app, which is quite similar to JD-Xi imo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M42TFCufZWU Anyone with more experience ever tried LEMUR with the JD-XI? If JD-XI had 128 steps, it would be a killer.

Re: Polyrhythmic patterns
1. a measure can only be 16 steps long you can set pattern length to 16, 32 and 64 steps. 2. all tracks have the same number of measures Track length is common to all parts. the internal sequencer doesn't allow any polyrhythm It does, you can add a chord to any specific step, or overdub the step (e...

Re: BUG? hold down the [Erase] button to erase the selected
Erase often triggers off the Hold key function, but it should not delete other parts. If it does, it is a bug, try the factory reset.

Re: BUG? hold down the [Erase] button to erase the selected
It shouldn't be like it, it seems like a software bug. I just tried to do it on mine, all works fine. Did you update to 1.50? I have a different issue, maybe it is a feature, not a problem - the Drumm synth is the only synth I can't erase in real time. It only be done with Erase+D3 combination and t...
