Re: MX-1 FX - 3 Part Series
Good day Ranzee Thank you for your YouTube Channel. I have subscribed. I was wondering if it is possible to do a video on how to setup MX-1 in FL Studio. I just got an MX-1. I want to hookup the following to the MX-1: System 8, TB-3', TR8s, Vt4, Korg Minilogue XD, Monologue , Korg Kaosilator Pro, K...

Rubix 24 windows 10 update Aug 2019
I'm having some issues with the Roland Rubx 24 after a recent Windows update - for reference this is the version I'm now running: Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362 I use the interface for my main headphones and takes a stereo line input. I use it for OBS Studio live streams. The problem is that it wont...

Re: Sick MX-1? Distorted audio on any analog input
so I've found the problem. It seems that I am getting a ground loop issue which is coming via MIDI.

Sick MX-1? Distorted audio on any analog input
I think my MX-1 might be sick :( All the analog inputs are taking a bad distortion on input sound. I've adjusted levels on the input instrument to near nothing - and it is happening on the MX-1. I've removed all connections and tried only one analog input - different instruments/sources - same probl...

Re: Goodbye sysex
They really should have made the System-8 and JD-XA combined monster synth. adding all those things you listed - it would be a great flagship for them. I'm sure there's other things people would like too - but lets not get ahead of ourselves ... it's Roland, remember ...

Re: AIRA Eurorack FX Modules - with MX-1
Do you ever find the Scooper to be excessively noisy? In fact I'm trying to work out what is the worst peice of kit that I own, and it's choice between this little shitbox of grief or the MX1. Both are incredibly noisey whooshwhooshwhoosh etc etc I'm yet to find a way to record into the Scooper suc...

AIRA Eurorack FX Modules - with MX-1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFrcrdTjM4E For those who didn't know, you can use the Torcido, Scooper, Bitrazer and Demora FX modules with your MX-1 mixer via the AIRA USB inputs. This means you'll get another stereo analog input, plus you can add the FX on that with MIDI clocked sync. Not to men...

Re: Goodbye sysex
Sorry to re-ignite an old post - but this one has been left hanging, and it needs discussion. I haven't had a chance to checkout the System-8 MIDI implementation until now. I also noticed your post via a Google search. I find it strange how "light" this document is. It is really basic. It ...

Re: JDXi Manager - Patch Editor for the Roland JD-Xi Synthes
A new release (0.25) of the JDXi Manager is out available now. The main change is the added Effects editor window. The Effects editor was quite tricky to implement as the Roland JD-Xi documentation of the MIDI implementation of the effects section is very incomplete and buggy. Here is a brief summa...

Chiptunes - Roland A-01 recreating a classic C64 game tune
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHt6iR3sDFk 8-bit music was a huge influence on me. I spent my teenage years playing games on a Commodore 64 from the early 80's. I thought it would be nice to revisit my retro gaming days by attempting to recreate one of my favorite game tunes: Command (by Rob Hubba...

Re: MX-1 FX - 3 Part Series
Great videos mate! One question, your MX1 seems very quiet with no dodgy noise/hissing. I run mine through Ableton and whilst I've managed to reduce the noise (by dropping the gain in Ableton) it still seems to have a slight issue with hiss etc. Could just be my setup. Do you use your MX1 to sync a...
