Re: Part mute abrupt
That's just the way it is, unfortunately. I wish it were possible to mute only note data so that you could play the sound assigned to whatever part you mute. Instead, you have to delete the noes. Bummer. Roland did a lot of strange things with this sequencer. First no pattern sequencer option (like...

Part mute abrupt
Hey Roland fans, Haven't messed with my FA in a while so I decided to have some fun today and try some looping on the sequencer using the part mute function on the pad. I figured it would work like any old part mute on a step or pattern sequencer. Apparently not? The FA part mute function seems to m...

Re: FA-06 and Cubase 9.5 annoyances
MIDI local is supposed to work like that, You may be able to midi monitor and not record - but check Cubase for that functionality. Thanks I'll look for it. Also, on the FA itself in the system settings screens you can disable Program Change transmit and receive messages to prevent them from being ...

FA-06 and Cubase 9.5 annoyances
Hello Roland Clan, Decided to give the new Cubase a try (just LE version for now). There are a couple of things I can't seem to figure out when using Cubase as a MIDI sequencer for the FA-06. When I change a part in my studio set, say part 6, if I have a track selected in Cubase, say track/channel 4...

Roland XP 60 button switches hard
Just got a used XP 60 and I'm having a problem where I have to push down on some of the buttons pretty hard. Does anyone have any experience with this? Possible fix?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Keyboard velocity per tone?
Thanks folks. Unfortunately none of the velocity options in part view allow me to turn off velocity sensitivity per tone nor do they allow me to do anything that resembles turning off velocity sensitivity per tone. Unless I'm missing something?

Keyboard velocity per tone?
Is there a way to disable velocity sensitivity per tone or studio set rather than globally through system menu? I see there's a way to do it for arpeggiator but can't seem to find it in tone or studio set settings. Reason being is some vintage tones don't sound full enough with velocity sensitivity ...

Re: MC-50 / MC-50 MkII questions
Good to know about the discs. I discovered this particular MkII doesn't like the newer Verbatim floppies. I found some old Memorex 1.44's I had packed away that are from the 90s and they worked without any issues (for the time being). One interesting thing though, the drive on the MkII is also loude...

MC-50 / MC-50 MkII questions
Hello! I just picked up a couple of these for a good price and I have a few questions for anyone who is familiar with them. First and foremost I know the manual states to only used 2DD floppies but in the MC-50 I'm able to use 2HD without any issues, not even taping the hole on disk. Has anyone had ...

Re: Sequencer from hell - alternatives?
Could you be more specific? What's not working for you sequencer-wise? Well primarily that you can't create songs with it / pattern chaining like the Xi. It's just a very rudimentary 4 bar pattern sequencer as many have already pointed out... and seeing as it's unlikely at this point that they'll u...

Re: How to keep the glossy FA surface clean?
Hey all, Sorry I haven't commented here in months. Life got busy, but here's what I can tell from re-reading this thread. If I am wrong, or there need to be any updates, please chime in so we can put together a longer list and create the demand for Jamie at synthgraphics. So far, it looks like the ...

Re: How to keep the glossy FA surface clean?
Have you tried just using a dry micro-fiber cloth? That's what I use on my PC monitors and TVs and they work great for dust and finger prints.

Sequencer from hell - alternatives?
Hey folks, Ok so I wont mince words here. I absolutely hate the sequencer on the JD-XA with it's limited functionality. It's also extremely frustrating to use and somewhat buggy. So I've been looking for an external sequencer and would love some recommendations. Right now looking at an MPC1000 or RM...

Re: How are your FAs doing so far?
I bought mine as a replacement for my old XP80 and I'm completely in love with it. It met all of my expectations, save one thing - no pattern based sequencer like the XP80. The linear sequencer is great and is arguably a step up from a pattern based sequencer, but for me pattern based sequencers are...
