This all being said, at the end of the day it's a switch, can replace it with anything really, it will work.

Change your knob mode to catch instead of the default setting. You'll fix that flicking setting issue.

You can't. Do yourself a massive favour and get a Synthstrom Deluge - when combined with the JD-XA it solves ALL of the shortcomings of the JD-XA, becoming an ultra-powerhouse of music. I can almost do anything with just those 2 devices.
