Re: Inputs
Yeah I had similar thoughts. Have been thinking of swapping out the HDD for a new one as I don't know its history. I would quite like to strip the hole machine, give it a good clean out, replace the dodgy components etc. The machine feels a bit used and abused, would be good to give it a good servic...

Re: Inputs
Super weird. Just thought I would try a new project and now it is working fine!! Only option on the Global input screen is Analog, WTF is going on., Cool it works but not cool I don't know what is causing it to stop working.

Re: Inputs
Just tried it with them disconnected, still the same. I think it is a genuine VGA addapter. It's weird as it did work. First it wasn't working, not giving me the options for analog. I thought it might be that the analog option would only work if an input was plugged in, connected up my SP808 to the ...

Inputs
Check out these pictures. I don't have the optical input expansion, why are my input selections only letting me use optical, can't move the selector to analog?

Re: Mouse
Update. Took the VGA port out, sprayed some contact cleaner in the port, tweeted the pins in the end of the PS/2 mouse plug to make sure they would make contact in the port, put it back together, fired it up, all working now :)

Re: Bouncing tracks
That's a bummer. It does seem much more set up for midi sequencing than audio. I love the speed, flexibility and ease of editing audio on the 808, a bit disappointed with the MVs abilitys in this area. But always good to learn new methods and I guess there is nothing to stop me using them together.

Bouncing tracks
On my sp808 you can easily bounce one or more tracks to another while also listening to tracks you don't want to record. Is this possible on the mv. It seems to me you can only record a track through the master mix, meaning if other tracks are playing they get recorded to. Any advice or pointers whe...

Re: Mouse
Thanks Juke, managed to get it to register that the mouse was plugged in by wriggling it, although it doesn't actually work, can't see a cursor on the screen. Might try some contact cleaner in the socket, maybe another mouse and if that doesn't work try swapping out the port, only a couple of £ on e...

Re: Mouse
Looking at the promo when they added the mouse connectivity on the 8000 it was an optical mouse it shipped with. Which is cool because the means I don't have to search out a ball mouse, but is shit because the optical mouse I bought doesn't work!

Mouse
Just bought a mouse for mv8000, when I go into the system to set up the monitor and mouse it say 'no mouse connected'. It has power running to the mouse as the optical light illuminates. I was wondering if due to the age of the mv8000 it needs an old school roller ball mouse. Does anyone know, does ...

Re: C knob controlling master volume
That is helpful. Looks like the buttons, sliders and knobs are all mounted to that last PCB in the pics?
