Roland replaced the action of my RD 2000 because of clacking noises ... mostly Bs, across the keyboard, a few As, and one C.
I posted here about it.

Re: New update ... 1.03 solves the Auto Off issue
This 1.03 update still has that new update smell about it. It's the latest update. It might take a while for all the other Support Sites around the world to show it. The link I was given was from a Roland technician in Belgium. https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/rd-2000/updates_drivers...

Re: New update ... 1.03 solves the Auto Off issue
I should add that Roland still has the older update page online for the 1.02 update.
I've already notified them of that.

New update ... 1.03 solves the Auto Off issue
https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/rd-2000/updates_drivers/ec12d6d7-2689-44fe-9ef6-0dcb5ed004f6/ This update solves the issue of the Auto Off no working with the supplied sustain pedal. I thought Roland supplied this update rather quickly once they were informed of this issue. Be sure ...

Mine shows orange lights when first powering up.
I'd say it's normal.

OFF TOPIC ... Roland and Malaysia
My RD 2000 was made or assembled in Malaysia, I clearly remember seeing that on the cardboard box it came in. Now I just stumbled upon this article (below) regarding this country and I would think that Roland might give this some thought as to where they want their keyboards made or assembled. I liv...

Re: keyboard noise issues
My keyboard clacking issue was resolved by Roland by replacing the entire keyboard action.
The dealer actually had the keyboard for a week before I learned that it was available to be picked up.
Apart from an extra week of waiting, my problem was resolved.

Re: Auto Off ... has anyone gotten this to work?
I got my RD 2000 back today and the Auto Off feature works as long as I don't have the Sustain Pedal plugged in.
So, if you want the Auto Off to work, you must first disconnect any pedals. (How f****** stupid is that?)
Let's hope this is resolved in future updates.

Re: RD 2000 Scenes
Scenario:- If I have different backing track songs on USB stick .wav files is it possible to get the scene memories to remember which song I have selected for each Scene and therefore load the correct track on recalling that Scene memory ready to play when hitting the <PLAY> button? I'm about to ch...

Re: Need better organ for RD-2000... Please
I couldn't imagine that the Hammond organ sounds in the RD 2000 were unacceptable. I owned a B3 growing up (a very long time ago) and the drawbar sounds are really just sine waves, very easy to recreate. I thought Roland did an acceptable job recreating the harmonic percussion tabs of a real B3. Whe...

For church use do you want a better Hammond sound or more pipe organ sounds?

Re: keyboard noise issues
A follow up ... on the advice of the Roland technician I've been in contact with, I dropped the RD 2000 off at my local dealer. They will hand carry the keyboard to him Monday of next week.
I'll report back in a few weeks when the situation is resolved.

keyboard noise issues
Even though I've owned my RD 2000 for a month or so, I never really played it as I would on a job, I just tried to figure out the operating system and be able to understand how to edit sounds on the fly. Today for the first today time I played it as I would if this keyboard were my primary keyboard....

Auto Off ... has anyone gotten this to work?
In MENU \ SYSTEM scroll down to the bottom, you'll see Auto Off and three options, 30 minutes, 240 minutes, and Off.
I've never had that feature work when the setting is saved as 30 or 240 minutes. Has anyone?
