Play DS arpeggio from external MIDI keyboard?
I bought an Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 with the expectation that I could play Juno DS arpeggios from its keys. This does not seem to be the case! Am I right that the DS arpeggiator is local only, or is there a setting I'm missing that'll make it work?

Re: New Member asks Aint That Tuff Enuff?
In my experience none of those arp settings are sent out through MIDI, and thus can't be seen in a MIDI monitor app. Did you find the same, Dan?

True, Vespina, but the system receives it, right?

Re: Alesis Vortex 2 wireless MIDI and iPad USB in?
Anotherscott, is there a way that the Juno's "Soft Through" setting can allow me to use both the USB port and the MIDI out simultaneously? Macbook is connected to Juno via USB hub, and Juno's MIDI Out goes to iPad via iRig Pro interface. I'm thinking that recorded MIDI data could trigger S...

Re: Alesis Vortex 2 wireless MIDI and iPad USB in?
Yes, my hub's powered but apparently not enough. And I'm planning on just 1/8'' out from iPad, either to mixer, or into Juno as external sound source. What I couldn't figure out is how to trigger iPad's Synth One app via the Juno if it's connected to my Macbook through the hub. I'd like to use Synth...

Re: Alesis Vortex 2 wireless MIDI and iPad USB in?
Anotherscott, this is a revelation! Thank you! Never thought to try a USB hub with the camera adapter. Nor was I aware of the free KeyStage Lite which is impressive. It does indeed work; i have the Vortex triggering AudioKit's SynthOne app while ForScore sends program change messages to the Juno DS....

Re: Alesis Vortex 2 wireless MIDI and iPad USB in?
Hmm, not exactly what I'm going for. I was hoping to connect the Vortex's MIDI USB A wireless receiver to the MIDI Host box and then MIDI out from box to Juno in, and the Vortex plays Juno sounds wirelessly.

Thanks for replying, Vespina. I suspected as much. Looks like this is the least expensive option: https://www.ebay.com/itm/203066888152?c ... 1&mkcid=28

Alesis Vortex 2 wireless MIDI and iPad USB in?
I'd like to control the Juno from an iPad (ForScore app to trigger performance changes etc.) and a Vortex Wireless 2 keytar. Is it possible to connect them both (iPad from the camera connector adapter [lightning->USB B] and the Vortex via the USB A wireless transmitter)? It seems Juno's USB A port i...

Re: Connecting JunoDS to an iPad
I get a noticeable light hiss once I connect my iPad's 1/8'' to my Juno's external in... Makes me a little hesitant to try it on stage.

Re: Keybed too stiff?
I found the DS 88 suitable for plodding piano parts and pads, but too heavy and resistant for any kind of waterfall organ action or swift solos generally. It was also a bad fit given that I have some arthritis in my thumbs. I switched to a DS 76 for this very reason (that and its much lighter weight...

iPad iOS 15 and MIDI problems
Anyone experiencing MIDI non-communication since upgrading to the new iOS? I use the Apple camera adapter (lightning-USB) to the Juno D6 76 for MIDI communication using ForScore, GarageBand and other apps. Even MIDI Wrench, a free MIDI monitor, shows no connection from the Juno. iPad does see the ca...

Control pedal controls pitch bend -- how?
I want to use my control pedal as the pitch bend for a patch where I have no fingers free to manipulate the DS's pitch bend joystick.
Seems like this should be easy but I can't figure it out. Can anyone walk me through the necessary patch edits, please?
