Save the on/off state of S1 and S2 per scene?
Hey all. Haven’t been able to figure this out. I have a couple scenes where I use the switches in latch mode. I’d like them to come up in “on” state when switching to the scene. I’ve saved the scene with the switch (in latch mode) on, but it doesn’t seem to save that. I always have to switch scene t...

Re: Cross Fade Volume Between 2 zones
Thanks guys. I found a way to do it using Matrix Control You can also do it with the sliders. Just assign two sliders... example Slider 1, and slider 2 to CC-07 volume In that scene, have one slider go from 0-127 when you push it up, and the other go 127- 0 when you push it up. As far as the SuperKn...

Cross Fade Volume Between 2 zones
Hello, I have a scene with two zones. I would like to use my pedal to raise the volume of Zone 1 while decreasing volume of Zone 2 Having a hard time finding a parameter or section to do this. Please don't hit me with the "Montage Superknob" thing, as I own a MODX and am aware. Also, on my...

Re: Roland FA08 coursing MainStage volume issues
You wrote you answer :) If I load a song on the FA08 which does not have Volume CC messages the Volume does not change in MainStage. It doesn't matter what song I select in MainStage the same problem occurs. You need to filter incoming MIDI CC in Mainstage on the track you don't want volume to chang...

Re: CPU hogs....
The ACB plug-ins are total CPU hogs. There's no real way around it, based on the design. It takes a ton of power to run the analog circuit behavior. They sure sound sweet, though!

Re: Bon Jovi's 'Keep the Faith' piano sound
It's a slight detuned piano (honky tonk/saloon) upright sound with some chorus. Lows are cut, and the mids are accentuated via eq.
I don't use my Fantom on this. I use Mainstage. I use a CP70 VST layered with Kontakt's Upright, then eq and chorus till I hit the sound.

Re: Does anyone use Compact Flash cards larger than 1GB ?
Hey Leo,
I use a PCMCIA adapter with 2gb SD cards. I haven't noticed a speed difference in loading compared to a 2gb CF card.
I use the adapter strictly so I can use SD cards that can plug directly into my Macbook Pro.

Re: New FA-07 owner
Hi Sid, the SEQ and DAW integration is a big deal for me since I record 99% of the time. Song writing is spontaneous - its great how the Muse guides us. I almost bought a used X7 , primarily for its SEQ . I finally realized how good the FA is. Until I told you not to :) LOL congrats on the 07. You ...

Re: Using a Leslie simulator with the FA06
I feel I should mention that when I've done this I sent it back into the FA via the audio in. Otherwise it doesn't respond to volume (but I know Escaperocks has a work wround for that! :-) ) Cheers! I am curious what this solution is from Escaperocks! I thought I heard my name :) While any part ass...

Yes, I went in a removed the rotary and drive effects.
I also use Lester for some other sounds as well. Basically any part I want to use Lester goes to the sub out.

Re: Using a Leslie simulator with the FA06
I use the sub out n my FA08. Just like the Roland people told you. I use a trs male to two ts "y" cable
From there I run into an Electro Harmonix "Lester K" and to my mixer.
Works great.

Re: MIDI Guru Wanted
You're going to need a MIDI filter on your laptop. I don't not believe the FA has the ability to filter the message. I do something similar in Mainstage, and I tell Mainstage to only accept the "127" to trigger a piece of outboard video gear. I know some people who use a program called MID...

Re: EV-5 expression pedal for FA06
Am I alone here using Roland RPU-3 for everything, including expression control? As noted above, there are settings on the FA that can reverse polarity and make any of its 3 pedals operate as expression control, hold pedal or tweak any other continuous parameter. Haven't tried foot switch type para...

That's why I rewire everything. I am not a fan of all kinds of adapters :)
