Akai MPD32 with MC-808, MIDI help
Hi everyone! If any of you have experience with the gear mentioned in the subject field, please help me! As some of you may know the MPD has this little bug with its 360 knobs, namely that their value caps at 0 or 127, so a bank/preset change wouldn't reset it to the saved value... In theory (or acc...

Re: Questions regarding capabilities
I'm curious too about a few things - I'm planning to buy the 808 to sequence it with a new electribe, and I'm struggling to understand every nuances of the MIDI implementation... For example General Purpose Controllers - what are they? Also, the FX section isn't listed among the specified MIDI CC's ...

Re: MC 909 Noob
As I mainly looking for a "clip launch device", its limitations don't seem so frustrating, and I found more than one selling for good prices around here lately... is there any real manual for it, or Korg wants me to try after buying? Anyway.. thanks for the help, it is easier now to decide...

Re: MC 909 Noob
Trimming isn't a problem, as I can export the loops straight from the DAW they were originally created in... I thought my fingers would be enough to trigger them however. THe RC505 is a bit pricey for only part of the whole job (and only have 5 simultaneous tracks) As I'm thinking about splitting th...

Re: MC 909 Noob
SP555-wise, I'm concerned about running simple phrase loops (song elements made with software) in perfect sync... but starting them is the tricky part, isn't it (without any quantize setting)? Its pattern sequencer doesn't look worth trying. I'd use it with my Kaossilator Pro and a Zero4 mixer, all ...

Re: MC 909 Noob
I'm aware of these limitations, but initially I thought I can substitute those two for a 909... the command station has particularly good feedback even now, so if anyone could compare the synth engines, I'd appreciate it The sp555 sounds good at first (mainly because of streaming), but seems like it...

Re: MC 909 Noob
That was comprehensive, thanks!
Would you look at my other questions too? It seems I have to buy this one... but anyone having some experience with sp-555 and EMU command stations can join the talk, and convince me otherwise

Re: MC 909 Noob
I'm getting there, great video indeed! But I'm still curious about timestretch experiences - how good is it when slowing down (do I need to export everything on 100BPM)? I also hope it's pitch independent.... Another one about MIDI thru: can I send tempo sync through by disabling any other MIDI data...

Re: MC 909 Noob
Hi! I'm considering to buy this machine to build a live setup, but I'm hopelessly confused even after the manual... may I ask the community to give some info? I have some DAW background (mainly Reason), and I own a Kaossilator Pro and a Korg Zero 4 mixer It's clear that I can/must recreate some elem...
