Part Select via Program Change in Performance Mode
Dear all, I am trying to optimize my setup. One thing I haven't figured out yet is to send a Program Change Message to the Juno DS to select a Part within a Performance. Is there a way to achieve this? For example I send a SysEx String to the Juno DS to switch it into Performance Mode F0411000003A12...

Re: DS as sound source for external controller - how?
One idea, if the Patch is selected, in your case Patch 4, it will sound even though the Kbd switch is set to off. Pls ensure that Patch 4 is deselected i.e. use the Pad Buttons and switch to e.g. Pad 1, that should work
Pls let us know

Re: DS as sound source for external controller - how?

Try the following: Select your Performance Menu Edit Performance Edit Patch Tab (First one which apperas in Performance Edit Mode) far right Kbd switch the respective Patch to Kbd OFF save done ...

Re: Hold Pedal in Split Mode
to my understanding this is not a Global Setting but a special Midi setting for that special Performance (Yes a split is already a Performance - the Patch/Perform button will be lit) you name and save as a User Performance. If you want to create another Split with different Patches you have to do the...

Re: Juno DS 61 with Boss FV-500-L Expression Pedal
Dear all, So I am going to share my experiences with the new Expression Pedal with you. I had exactly the same issues (some silent Patches when switching from one Performance to another) with the M Audio EX-P. So no difference between the Boss and the M Audio. BUT I figured out how to solve it: I sw...

Juno DS 61 with Boss FV-500-L Expression Pedal
Dear all, I had a gig last saturday first time using the DS 61. All in all it was quite ok even though, based on my experiences of that evening, I still have to do some sound adjustments to get some sounds to cut through more etc... One thing that really upset me was the mailfunction of the Expressi...

Re: Roland please, software update possible?
Hi AaronPDX1, As far as I understood the Vocoder/Auto Pitch works as a separate Mode. If i switch it on, the Patch changes to Vocoder/Auto Pitch Presets PRST 001 Voc:Ensemble ... AP:to Bass, meaning, if I wanted to combine a proper Vocoder Sound e.g. Voc: Robot with other Patches in Performance Mode...

Roland please, software update possible?
Dear Roland Team, in the last week I had to program the Juno DS for a gig as a last minute replacement keyboard. I am pretty impressed what this little machine (DS 61) is capable of. There are some functions I am really missing which I would like to focus on: #1 As a live keyboardist I (have to) use...

Split Mode, swap the upper and the lower Patch
Dear all, I wanted to know whether you have an idea if the Split function is more efficient than I am aware of. I want to make an easy Split (i.e. 2 Patches). For example I would like to start with the Patch "Frends Pad PRST 973", when I push the Split Button the Patch is automatically sel...

Re: VK ROTARY: Brake ON/OFF with Hold Pedal?
Dear AaronPDX1, Thank you very much for you quick reply. I found the definitions of (star) and (#) in the Parameter Guide, thanks for that. My setup was a bit more complicated than described in my previous post but in the end I managed to find a workaround. If I only used the Rotary as a single MFX,...

VK ROTARY: Brake ON/OFF with Hold Pedal?
Dear all, I am in the middle of programming the DS 61 (as a last minute replacement keyboard) for a gig. I wonder whether it's possible to control the brake of the VK ROTARY Effect with a conroller, e.g. the Hold Pedal. I tried to manage this via the MFX CTRL putting the Source 1 to CC64:HOLD-1 and ...
