Re: Roland, implement a chorus and delay in an SH-01a update
I agree, certainly with a Chorus anyway which should be easy to implement as all the other Boutiques have it even if it's a hidden feature. May I suggest you either e-mail them with your RFE or you post them a message via their Facebook page as I don't believe they read this forum but I know for sur...

Re: shout out for KVGear racks
I agree! I mentioned this in another thread as I'm going the same way as you for my 3 synths: https://kvgear.com/products/boo-3 However, I'm waiting for their European arm to open in the UK which should be any day soon, so I'm told as their website is almost finished otherwise us folks in the EU hav...

Yes, I noticed that! I wonder what's different about how the SH works compared to the JP?orcoaffamato wrote:

Re: Recommend a 2 tier stand for keyboard and 3 boutiques
Hi CB. Well it's probably not quite what you're looking for but I'm about to buy this: https://kvgear.com/products/boo-3 I've been speaking to the guy that runs it in the US and they're just about to go on sale in the UK via a distribution channel as I didn't fancy getting slapped with the VAT plus ...

Re: JP-08 patches in VST
Having spoken to Momo, the developer of the JP-08 Editor, he stated that his editor is based on Control Change (CC) Data only and to translate from Sysex to CC Data is very complex. As such, the concept of his editor was for hardware control and automation and not as a Patch Editor. What I can say i...

Re: JP-08 patches in VST
I don't know the individual settings for the JP-08 patches as they are designed by someone else, but is there a way of replicating these (without the listening and writing option) on the Jupiter 8 vst ? You can see the patch settings using this editor: http://www.breadandbuttersounds.com/#JP08Edito...

Re: JP-08 patches in VST
Hey orcoaffamato, Thanks and you're right as it clearly states on that page that the controller value settings are sent to the editor when you select a patch. Therefore it appears that the Boutiques do transmit this information so I'll be passing that on to the developer of the other editor because ...

Re: JP-08 patches in VST
Hi Devo. I'm ever-so sorry as I'm mistaken about this editor as you are correct in that it can't read the settings from the last selected patch and there's a reason for that. Annoyingly, the Roland Boutiques don't send that information. I know this as when I reviewed my e-mails, I discovered that I ...

Re: JP-08 patches in VST
Hi Devo. I have to say that I highly recommend the Editor by Momo Muller: https://jp-08remote.jimdo.com/ I've been using it to reverse engineer how patches are put together so it makes a great learning tool. You will need to be running at least the JP-08 System Update Version 1.10 or preferably late...

Re: Audible Noise When Using USB Connection on Boutique Unit
Hey guys, I just wrote this in another post (sorry hadn't seen this one) but I managed to fix this problem 100% by getting a USB Isolator. https://hifimediy.com/usb-isolator Zero noise now for all my boutiques and all my other synths. Hope this helps Cheers, Hi Jono. Thanks for posting this update....

Re: Audible Noise When Using USB Connection on Boutique Unit
You don't need to run on batteries. This is a very common problem with USB powered audio devices. The USB power creates a ground loop with your audio circuit. This is a very common problem for audio circuits in general. The solution is to get a ground loop isolator. Its a very low cost solution. I ...

Re: JP-08 not that great?
Doubt it... to get a proper Jupiter sound you actually need 2 JP-08 modules to sort out its glaring polyphony problems! It's only a duo synth when using the dual sound, and the fact that it didn't allow splitting of the sounds really angered a lot of old sk00l purists. Ultimately the JP is just way...

Re: Audible Noise When Using USB Connection on Boutique Unit
DO all the boutiques. Phase 1 and Phase 2 suffer from the USB audio noise. Considering this was a key selling point for Aira Link this sounds pretty shoddy. Ive been tempted to jump in but all this talk of noise and having to use batteries and weird start-up procedures just sounds like they are che...

[SOLUTION FOUND] Audible Noise When Using USB Connection...
Great news guys, thanks to CBs info, I've found the cause and a solution which works for me. The source of the noise in the audio chain is in fact the power over USB, otherwise known as Bus Power which is provided by a USB connected computer. While ideally I wanted to dispense with using batteries, ...
