Re: FA06 live playing
I toyed with my keyboard yesterday. I found that my setup contains no global compressor. What I ended doing - is connecting a simple Skullcandy headphones and connected them to the back. I remember a thread here saying that connecting output and headphones does not work - but it does for me on FW 2!...

FA06 live playing
Hi all, This is a rant, and I am using this platform to release steam. So, nothing to see here, move along. This week my band's bass player was not available, so we decided to make a more acustic rehersal. So, I decided instead of bringing my FA06, I decided to use the rehersal room's keyboard: a cr...

Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
What's the advantage of the Overlays? Is it just to protect the surface? I once cleaned the surface with a wrong cloth and now the surface is scratched. As I see this - this is a build defect, and I see these overlays as a "recall" as we see in cars. They found a defect in the equipment, ...

Re: Free FA Overlays from Roland
I got mine in Israel. Had to talk to local dealer - and they only asked for the serial number of the Keyboard (and did not care that I did not even bought the keyboard directly from them). Took 2 weeks to get shipped to the store and I had to get them from there. +1 to Roland for not making a fuzz a...

Don't care about the application. I care about the code. Please make the source (and binary) available in github.radzik wrote:Unfortunately, I am not a user of sharing portals.Any ideas how to do it?

FA/06 - Version 2.0 - wrong tempo?
I am working on a song in the sequencer, and it felt "slow". When I play it from the PC I get the correct BPM (113 in my case). When I transfer the song to the keyboard, and I play it, I measure around 109 BPM. I moved the tempo up and down, and I see that the FA06 is ~5 BPM slower. Can an...

Re: Sorting Songs or Studio Sets Alphabetically
I have the same problem. For my first gig, I re-ordered the songs manually to match the gig order. For my next gig, I will copy my studio sets to 100... and then re-order. Meaning I only need to remember 100 and then move to the next studio set.

Re: Recommended DAW/Midi editor
More info: I opened the MIDI generated from StudioOne3 with another MIDI editor, and I did see that it exports the MIDI and each track is assigned to channel 0. Which explains why the MIDI is borked. I did found a way to move the MIDI from StudioOne3 to the FA06: 1- Open the correct studio set 2- Op...

Bring 2nd tone with velocity
I want to have a patch that plays piano, and when I start getting into the crescendo of the song, a pad will also be heard (or strings.. or whatever). I want to do this by pressing harder on the keybed. Is this possible? Two other options: 1 - Put the device on dual tone, and then increase/decrease ...

Re: FA06/07/08 Organ Drawbars
Please do share - which sounds do you layer on top/bottom? That sound alone is *nice*... and I see on that video that the dud changes the sound at 0:18... https://youtu.be/ht9R3udud_4?t=15s I am also using a lot the trick I explained above with the knobs to modify the sound (see video and implement ...

Re: Bit of a newbie question but..
I recommend using StudioOne3 - which is a complete free DAW. I use it sometimes as a golified midi editor. I record the MIDI from StudioOne, and again let the FA06 do the sound (it is defined as a MIDI out device on StudioOne). Another option - is to use the internal sequencer to record the music, a...

Re: FA06/07/08 Organ Drawbars
0081 Harm.Organ - thats the one. Seems simple, but is not dull, and cuts off very nice in a mix.You cannot really play chords on octave #2 or bellow, solos on #4 or above work if you increase the volume.
Actually very happy with that sound. Very recommended.

Recommended DAW/Midi editor
I am trying to play music trough the built in sequencer (and while live gigging I would disable some channels and play them). I am currently using StudioOne which is quite good. I mapped the input and output of the FA06 to StudioOne and when I sequence midi from the DAW I can hear it being played by...
