Beatles “Birthday” on Juno DS?

Like pretty much every other classic rock band, mine does the Beatles Birthday song. Even though I’ve read that they didn’t use a keyboard for the sparkly little organ accents, I’d like to come as close as I can. I’m using the Leslied B3 patch (0092 in the keyboard Expansion Pack) but I was hoping t...

Re: Looking for help loading a multisample in tone manager/JUNO DS88

Thanks so much for posting this step-by-step information. When it comes to anything other than the keys and buttons that are very obvious to me, I feel as if I have my head in a burlap sack. I’ll be trying this for sure.

Re: Tone Manager and Juno DS61 not talking to each other

That's exactly the problem, Vespina -- you're right! I'll download the driver from Roland and try again.

Thanks for taking the time to chime in!

Tone Manager and Juno DS61 not talking to each other

All I really want to do is import one SF2 sample from a set I bought, and from what I understand (thanks, #anotherscott) I need to do it through Tone Manager. I downloaded the Tone Manager manual, and everything I did behaved exactly the way the instructions said, but so far my keyboard is just not ...

Re: Juno DS88 not recognized in macOS Mojavee or Catalina

Recently bought a new MacBook, I started with Mojave, installed the Roland Juno DS 88 driver for OS 10.13/14, and my keyboard was not recognized when plugged via USB, when I open the Tone Manager my keyboard is not listed under the input/output sources Then I upgraded to OS Catalina and same thing....

Re: I'm a beginner, need help!

Hi AronPDX1! I also am a beginner with the Juno DS...and have been confused by the FX and MFX of the keyboard...and it only got worse by using the computer tool, Juno DS Tone-Manager. Hopefully I can help. After sorting through several manuals, I was able to piece together the answer that I needed ...

Juno DS61: less responsive "Favourite" buttons

In the last couple of days I find I'm needing a lot more pressure to for the "8" button to register a change. I've set up a ton of Favourites, and I can usually hit the buttons quite lightly on the fly during a song, but this one really bit me a couple of times during practice yesterday. (...

Re: SF2 patches for Juno DS?

I tinkered with importing a WAV sample and it went OK, although I can see that I need to tweak some settings. But I realized I need to do a software update on the Juno and I'm probably going to wait until after our next gig on Sunday. The 01/W patches I bought do have the .sf2 suffix (screenshot of ...

Re: SF2 patches for Juno DS?

Is the general idea that I'd download Tone Manger to the computer, get the samples, and load 'em up from there? Yup. I'd suggest you download the Tone Manager first, and do an experiment with any wav file at all, bringing it into the Juno and playing it, just to give you an idea for how it works, b...

Re: SF2 patches for Juno DS?

Thanks so much, anotherscott. There are really only a couple that I'd permanently load onto the Juno, so it sounds as if I'd be OK for capacity. I really wish I knew more about this kind of thing. Is the general idea that I'd download Tone Manger to the computer, get the samples, and load 'em up fro...

SF2 patches for Juno DS?

I'm just wondering if SF2 files can be used in my Juno. My knowledge about this is basically zero, since the only thing I ever loaded was an expansion pack and a car horn WAV for "Summer in the City"! But if I know it's possible to do it, I'll happily figure out how. Here's what I was thin...

Change in Blues Harp behaviour (or keyboard behaviour)

I've used the Blues Harp patch (Ky123) for a few years and I've noticed a change lately. I used to just give the first note a little extra energy and it would do a wonderful little half-tone bend up onto the note I was playing. Now I practically have to hit it with a hammer to make it do the same th...
