Re: Is it possible to build up a song using the RD2000? In other words, record over my own playing?
Hi, The RD-2000 does not have a sequencer. You can record RD-2000 audio to a USB stick, but only one track. No multi-tracking. You can however play back the audio on the USB stick and play something different with a different instrument at the same time, but you cannot record the second instrument. ...

Re: Just Bought a RD-2000 and Questions
> Oh dear. That was a typo. Aha! Excellent news. So I'm not going mad... yet. :-) Thanks for the clarification. Just to complete the picture, this only works if you have pressed the SELECT button to put the 8 rotary encoders into REVERB/DELAY mode, otherwise the Reverb screen does not appear, but ra...

Re: Just Bought a RD-2000 and Questions
Yes of course, after 3 years of use, I know those options.
But I still don't see where you press SHIFT + REVERB to disable/enable reberb quickly.
Maybe mmathew could explain how you do this ?

Re: Using volume slider with External instruments on RD2000
When the green (external) light is illuminated above a slider(s), and the slider select (right of sliders) is on Level, that slider(s) will send cc7 (volume) on that zones external midi channel. You can choose one additional cc to send when the slider mode is Assign (same Cc on all zones). Thanks f...

Using volume slider with External instruments on RD2000
Was watching the Roland vid about External instruments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb7OkhV7ytU Managed to set up Ext 5/6/7 to control 3 separate VSTs in Cubase on CH5/6/7. But in the video, you clearly see the user operating the Roland faders to control the volume of the external instrument. Th...

Re: RD-2000 Piano Editor Updated to 2.00
Can you confirm what I need in able to use your editor. Obviously an iPad and a copy of MidiDesigner for £20 from the iPad app store I assume. But how does the ipad connect to the RD-2000? My RD-2000 is connected to a PC via USB. My iPad is on a wifi network, and I don't see how that is going to let...

Re: RD-2000 battery replacement
Excellent. Thanks.
I also have a DX7IID. What a pain it was to change the battery in that. Basically had to take the entire machine apart as the battery is on the deepest circuit board inside.
While I was at it I installed an extension with a new battery holder, so next time it's a doddle. :-)

RD-2000 battery replacement
Anyone know if the RD-2000 has an internal battery which will need replacement at some point?
My KB is now over 3 years old so I'm wondering if this is something which I need to think about.
Google turns up nothing about it.

Re: RD-2000 Piano Editor Updated to 2.00
On the RD 2000, the only parameters accessible via Sysex are the current scratchpad program. So nothing in permanent memory can changed until you decided to write program, scene, or system settings. I planned to prepare a video, but I am moving my studio next week. Might be a few weeks until I am b...

Re: RD-2000 Piano Editor Updated to 2.00
Thanks for all your hard work on this. I'm interested in the possibilities of this, but struggling to understand how it interacts with the KB, and also with what to a new user appears to be a very busy/cluttered interface. I'm also concerned that your solution is powerful, and I need to know that I ...
