Re: Thinking about swapping the GT for an XT
Not interesting anymore. I’ll cling to my trusty GT and will move things around so it can stay :)

Re: Organising patches - librarian
That's how I do it, sort of. I've got an old MacBook Pro (mid 2014) running macOS 10.15.7. Since that's "too new" for the V-Synth GT Librarian, I'm running OS X 10.8.3 in a virtual machine to which I've connected the V-Synth GT over USB. The V-Synth GT is also connected over MIDI and audio...

Thinking about swapping the GT for an XT
Due to space limitations in my studio I’m thinking of giving up the V-Synth GT and get a V-Synth XT. I know that the GT pretty much is two XT at the same time (minus the D50 stuff which I don’t care that much about since I’ve got the D50 in Roland Cloud). But the patches I’ve made, can those be tran...

Re: Convert JD-990 Vintage patches for SRX Keyboard?
Just tried to manually do the patch "Reanimator" from the JD section on the Vintage card. Not even close. Miles apart! SRX Keyboard do have all the waveforms, but it really lacks in the effect section. While the JD-990 has values from -50 to +50, SRX has values from -63 to +63 so some mino...

Convert JD-990 Vintage patches for SRX Keyboard?
I'm especially after some of the presets on the JD-only part of the SR-JV80-04 exp card as well as some presets I've made myself using waveforms from that card. I have a trusty JD-990 with the Vintage card installed here in my studio and since the SRX Keyboard plugin has the same waveforms, and hope...

Dimension D, all-button-mode
I've tumbled down a rabbit hole. I was playing around with some effects and noticed that I couldn't active the "all-button-mode" on Arturia's rendition of the Dimension D. When I read the manual to understand if just pressed the wrong keys they say: "in the original units it is possib...

Re: Manually building JV-1080 banks from patches
Sweet! Thanks for the link, I'll look it up. Sounds like a great tool. Need to figure out the waveform offset between the JD-990, the Vintage card and the SRX Keyboards. Then I should be able to migrate my patches over from the hardware to bring on the road.

Re: Manually building JV-1080 banks from patches
I'm on a Mac... And building banks for a synth released in 1994 is of course nothing new :) But some people might dig out their old 3,5" floppy backups and find some dusty SYX files which they potentially could re-use in Roland Cloud. But if you're on a Windows machine I suppose the WinJV edito...

Manually building JV-1080 banks from patches
Found the http://difficultaudio.com/roland/ site in another post regarding converting SYX banks to the Roland Cloud format and gave it a try. I converted a few of my old JV-1080/JV-2080 banks and it works like a charm. Then I did some nerding... and thinking... and hex anlysis. A "bank" in...

The D-50 won't work.
But according to Roland, the following can be "plugged out" to the System-8:

Re: V-Synth V-Screamer Factory Patch Help
Here are 21 photos compressed into two archives to get around the 20MB limit.
I've also attached a raw, completely unprocessed, audio file. What I did was to turn off the effect section. It's a pretty weak and synthesised sync-sweep (as the waveform reveals).
Enjoy, and let me know how it goes.

I'll make a note and will screenshot the whole thing tonight. I'll also record the raw waveform for you. Should be quick and easy to do.

Re: Import patches from XV-5080 hardware to Cloud
Maybe this site can help you? From what I understand you'll need to export a bank from the XV-5080 hardware and then use the Python script to convert it to the Roland Cloud XV-5080 bank.
