Yep - That was it - Fairly logical in hindsight.

hmm. when I woke up this morning I thought that perhaps it's because Bank select commands only work in midi channel 16 (or whatever tx/rx-channel ths jdXi is set to)... I'll try that tonight and we'll see....

I am stuck, and I would appreciate a hint. I am trying to control the Jd-Xi from a Yamaha Motif as the Yamaha have some nice Master Layer functions, which should do the trick. - But it doesn't.
