Re: SH-01a Doesn't Stay on Selected Patch
I can't be sure about this without trying to set up my machines in the same way, but on the surface it sounds like the MC-707 is sending patch change info to the SH-01A when you hit play on your sequence. Without having the manual in front of me to verify, I would suggest seeing if you can disable p...

Re: Newbie here: What is the point of stereo keyboards and amps?
Hi Rob, Your understanding of stereo is certainly correct, and the "stereo" speakers with only one driver and tweeter are just playing games with you - it's not possible for a single speaker to produce what we commonly call "stereo" sound. The stereo outputs on the keyboard are f...

Re: Sh-01 Arpeggiator midi control
I have not tried this in a while, but I believe that the SH-01A will absolutely start playing the sequencer from a MIDI "play" or "Start" command, but I don't believe there is a start control for the arpeggiator. If you are not already familiar, Sunshine Jones has great "Mis...

Re: JX-3P Randomly powers down :(
Congrats on your vintage synth. Without looking at your instrument it's hard to be sure, but I can tell you that it's been a LONG time for that original power supply to be alive, and most if not all of my equipment from the same time period (early 1980's) has had their power supplies rebuilt or re-c...

Re: Pad Copy 707
Hey hey, the forum is back - I've been trying to answer your question for months! Yes, you can copy the contents of a pad to another. The instructions are with the software update for version 1.50, under "Added Shortcuts". You'll need to be running version 1.50. 1) Get into the Kit Edit sc...

MV-1 Verselab
Here's something interesting:
https://www.roland.com/us/products/verselab_mv-1/
I'll be curious to see what creative users come up with on this instrument. I like some of the built-in simplifications for workflows.
Very cool, Roland!

Re: ARP with external keyboard on the Mc101
I believe it's noted in many threads that the ARP functions currently only work with internal pads on both the 101 and 707. I can imagine this changing in a future update, but as with all things software - don't COUNT on it.

Re: User Sample volume from SD card
Hi Stevie, and welcome! I'm not 100% certain, but I believe what you're experiencing is the fact that when you preview the sample it is playing at full volume, but when you assign it to a pad you are playing a default velocity on the pad, which will be set lower than full volume to allow for dynamic...

Re: Ju-06a sequencer question
Hello all, Does anyone know if it’s possible to chain multiple sequences together into a full tracK? Something akin to the 303s tracks or 808s rhythm tracks? I’d like to compose a track with multiple sequences and have them play one after another while synced up to my tr-08 and tb-03. Thanks! Jake ...

Re: How Are Others Handling the Lack Of Patch/Program Storag
Just wondering how others are handling the issue of the MC-707 lacking any actual patch storage as it's quickly becoming quite the headache for me. At current, can't say I've come up with much more than going out of one's way to name every clip in a project and making sure those clips reflect both ...

Re: New Roland MC-707 Review
You can't save a preset/patch to the SD card? As of currently, that is correct. There is ZERO formal patch/preset/program storage capability. What makes it all the more odd is Roland has now even added a Random Patch generation capability.... but as noted, there is NO actual patch storage. At prese...

Re: Awesome features and annoying limitations
I have always loved my 707, and am just really happy that Roland keep supporting us with additional features and improvements. The recent Arpeggiator was a request from a long time ago that seemed like it would not happen, and now - voila! Thank you so much Roland for this great support (I know the ...

Re: Tr-09 Prices
I’ve been keeping my eyes out for a used tr-09. Prices seem to be getting nuts. The cheapest I can find is $550. I wish they’d release another run of these. Anyone know if they will? They seem to have retired several of the early Boutiques, but the series isn't done, as evidenced by the new TR-06! ...
