SP-404MKII v4.04
Roland have gifted us with a pretty wonderful update for the SP-404 MKII. It's a great instrument that keeps getting better and better - sure, there are other bits of gear we would like to see them update, but let us take a moment to be thankful for what we have. . . . . . . . . . ...and then hope f...

Gaia 2 Announced
This looks like a great instrument in many ways. I was just checking on the Gaia a few days ago and discovered that it had been discontinued, and now I see that Gaia 2 is "In Stock" at Sweetwater. Well played Roland! What other secrets have you been keeping so well? https://www.roland.com/...

Received this reply today... This is unacceptable... Dear skank86, I sure do understand your frustration with this situation. It is an endless cycle which consumerism has created for us. New advances are things we want to take advantage of, but then they often render older technology obsolete - it'...

Re: What do you think will be the end of the Integra 7?
Integra7 is a fantastic synth. I'm amazed that it has been in production as long as it has (in the same way that I'm amazed that the System 500 modules are still in production - they have now been available longer than the System 100m modules were available!) There really is nothing that needs to be...

Re: Future boutiques
With the new ACB version of the CR-78 in the TR drum machines, is it possible there will be a CR-078?
Still hoping for a Jupiter 4 or alphaJuno.
Boutiques have historically been announced at this time of year, so who knows...

Re: Future boutiques
Well, now that we have an ACB "plug-out" version of the Jupiter 4, does anyone else think there's a chance of a Boutique Jupiter 4? As I previoulsy mentioned, I think it would be a great fit for the Boutique series, and the plug-out version has some interesting new features playing with vi...

Re: Roland Gaia upgrade
To my knowledge there is not currently an "upgrade" for the GAIA, since most of the current synths have a different architecture than the GAIA. As far as I know, only the GAIA and Integra 7 still use the voice architecture from that time period. If you are really just looking for a keyboar...

Re: How are you guys enjoying your 707 ?
I've owned it for several years now - still loving it; yes, there are some things that would be wonderful to see improved in an OS update (patch saving etc.), but I still get good creative results from this instrument.

Re: Boutique popping and crackling over USB in Logic
Hi there, I don't use my Boutiques in the way you're describing, but whenever I hear folks talk about "popping" or "crackling" it makes me think of mis-matched sample rates. USB audio for Boutiques is fixed at 44.1kHz - is it possible your Logic session is set up at 48k or some o...

Re: Problem with Roland em 25
Hi there! Your question is a little bit confusing to me - let me see if this is what you're asking: It sounds like you have connected your Boutique synth to another synth using MIDI, and would like that synth to make the same sound as the Boutique? Or is it that you have another synth and you wish t...

Re: Strange mode of the TB-03
Is there a reason you're turning it on with this button held down? Often button-hold-on-startup sets the machine into update or calibration modes which are intended to be hidden from the user. You might try to locate a Service Manual and see if there is info there about what this button press on sta...

Re: Recording Ext on looper track
Curious. Well, let's take it in stages: 1) to my knowledge you can only record to a Looper track from a) the EXT Inputs; b) the PC (USB Audio) Inputs; c) the output of other tracks 1-8; or d) the output of the MIX OUT (all tracks playing as mixed by the faders - essentially a bouncedown. 2) It's pos...
