Hi, I had a similar issue and solved by setting both the MX1 and Mac at 48khz sample rate
after someone told me that Monterey seemed to not not handle well the 44.1khz setting.
The bit depth differences do not seem to be the cause. I hope this helps.

to close the thread : the way I solved this is by sync'ing via midi, bot via PC. I guess the USB is busy on sending audio signals and perhaps this affects any sync message... if on top of that the Cubase driver is not 100% pristine... It would have been good though to have the sync tempo displayed o...

Incidentally, on "the audio coming out from the MX1 lack low end", the reason comes from differing audio kHz setting between the DAW out and the MX1 internal string. To fix, this, have both units on same kHz setting (96k, 48k or 44.1k).
