Re: D50 - Battery Change - Now NO LCD/Sound - Help!!!
I'm no expert on the D50, but, can you maybe boot it up in diagnostic mode? Hold "0" and "DECREMENT" and then turn power on. You can look at the service manual here for more info: http://www.polynominal.com/site/studio/gear/synth/roland_d550/roland-d50-service-manual.pdf Then the...

Re: D70 - Editing with Tone Palette Sliders
Re-initialized using "Hold down 8 and turn power on". Tried the sliders and they still "slide" into their values once you stop using the slider. But, if I pinch the actual fader and move it with a little fingertip resistance, I can land on my preferred value a little easier. So I...

D70 - Editing with Tone Palette Sliders
I rebuilt my old D70. Fired it up and reloaded the factory settings via Midi. I find when I'm editing, for example, Tuning, with the Tone Palette Sliders, it seems to "slide" into the value. Say the value of one of the tones is -12 and I want to make it 0, I use the slider to slide it up f...

Re: Help Bulk Load syx file on D-50
I wrote this for someone who was having trouble with their U-220. Might help: I've also experienced the MIDI Buffer Full error when trying to Xfer sysex to Roland gear. If you run into this, check the settings in Midi-Ox by the instructions below: Many patch dumps are broken up in to smaller blocks ...

Re: Roland RD-800 Stage Piano Live Setup
Here's my routing for my RD-800. If it helps. L/R Stereo 1/4" out to a Behringer RX1602 rack mixer. Two channels panned left and right L/R Stereo 1/4" out to a Stereo D/I Stereo D/I XLR to a Soundcraft U/i mixer. Out to whatver P/A we're using for the night. If we're only running a mono sy...

Re: U-220, sysex, midi, windows 10
Good question. I use Sonar as well but I've never imported or had to convert from sysex to either of those yet.
I'd have to do some research and get back to you.

Re: Rd-800 MIDI/audio USB input
The USB Type B (square) connection on the RD-800 is only for MIDI implementation. Unfortunately, it can't transmit or receive audio. From the manual: If you use a USB cable (sold separately) to connect the USB COMPUTER port located on the RD-800’s rear panel to the USB port of your computer, you’ll ...

Re: U-220, sysex, midi, windows 10
You can download the sysex file from the link below: http://www.sysexdb.com/binaryview.aspx?IDSysexMessage=1918 64 Factory Presets for the Roland U-20. To load, use any generic SysEx loader on a Mac or Windows computer. Ensure that the U-20 is set to [SysEx Device ID = 17], and [Rx SysEx = ON]. Thes...

Re: How I load mid file in my Roland D10
I didn't think a D10 could actually have a .mid file loaded into it. From what I remember. It is multi-timbral synth though. You'll need software like Sonar or Reason, etc. Any piece of software that will run midi tracks. Run midi out from your puter to midi in on the D-10. Put your D10 in Multi-Tim...
