Well, I've fixed the problem - I think. I had some velcro ( both sides ) left over from building my pedalboard a while back and I stuck two pieces of velcro on to the back of the RD800 on either side of the on/off switch. Not true. The DC cable was on a different side than the on/off switch. It was certainly put there to protect the switch. Unless you're talking about a different plastic piece.

I used to own a Yamaha CP33. On the back, right beside the on off switch was a little piece of plastic, screwed in to the back - the purpose - I'm guessing - is if you put the keyboard down on the back surface the keyboard would lie on the plastic bit and prevent damage to the on/off switch. I have my settings set exactly as you have stated above. My DAW is Reaper, I still cannot get this to work. I’m starting to think this is not possible on the RD800.

I'm trying to get Reaper ( my DAW ) to send program changes to the RD800 to change live sets. So far unable to do so.
